Dern and Mrs. Ray Jaques as
candle lighters.
Mrs. Gerald Hemp read a
Christmas story "If I had not
Come" with intermittent sing-
ing of Christmas carols
throughout. A social half hour
was enjoyed.
CLUB GIRLS MEET
The seventh meeting of Elim-
ville Club I was held November
30 at 7:00 pm at Ellmville
Church with 10 members pre-
sent. The minutes were read
by Emily Dykernan. mrs. Jack
Delbriclge of the staff of South
Huron Hospital illustrated and

Tuesday, December 1, the
Senior Citizens of the com-
munity were entertained to a
Christmas dinner by members
of the Crediton WI. The dinner
was served in the Community
Centre Which was beautifully
decorated for the Christma$
season.
Following dinner everyone
enjoyed the carols played by
Mr. Douglas Lewis with his
violin and Mrs. Harvey Hod-
gins at the piano. Mr. Lewis
and Mrs. Hodgins also played
a number of old time pieces.
Mrs. Ruby Molitor gave a
reading and a contest was con-
ducted by Mrs. Roy Hodgins.
The winner of the contest was
Mrs. Emery Fahrner.
The guest speaker of the
evening was Rev. Father J.
Kelly of Mt. cermet.
Prizes for the oldest person
went to Mr. Matthew England,
91 years of age; lucky chair to
Mr. Everett Fahrner and to the
person with a birthday nearest

of Andy Morrissey, a former
resident, and son of Mrs. Cath-
erine Morrissey and the late
Augustus Morrissey.
Four teachers from London
Teachers College are student
teachers at Our Lady of Mt.
Carmel School this week, Miss
Eleanore Dietrich is one of the
teachers.
Miss Annabelle Boutette and
Miss Susan Poynter of the YCS
full time girls of Windsor visi-
ted with the Mt. Carmel girls
group and stayed at the homes
of Miss Carolyn Hall and Mary
Eileen Carey Tuesday.

Saturday evening the mem-
bers of St. Patrick's church
and Sunday School enjoyed their
congregational hot turkey din-
ner and Sunday School Christ-
mas party.
Following the dinner a short
program of carols, songs and
recitations preceded jolly old
St. Nicholas' visit. Santa was
in rare good form and a jolly
hour was spent during which
he presented all the children
with gifts from the Sunday School
for last year's attendance, and
bags of candy for all youngsters
present.

The annual Bible Society ser-
vice for the Anglican and United
Churches was held in the Ang-
lican Church Sunday afternoon
when Rev. J. C. Thompson of
the Canadian Bible Society,
London, was the guest speaker.
Following the service a short
business session was held when
the officers for 1965 were ap-
pointed. President is Mr. Ken
McLinchey; vice-president,
Mr. Manuel Curts; secretary-
treasurer, Mrs. Clark Hodgins;
directors from the United
Church, Mrs. Hugh Adair, Mrs.
Karl Guenther and Mr. Bryden
Taylor; from the Anglican
Church, Mr. George Mitchell,
Mrs. Lyle Steeper and Mrs.
Mack Hodgins.

ELECTS OFFICERS
The WSWS of the EUB church
held their Christmas meeting
and election of officers Thurs-
day evening December 3 in the
church schoolrooms which were
tastefully decorated for the
Christmas season.
The meeting was led by Mrs.
Ervin Rats with Mrs. Emery
Fahrner at the piano. A poem
and scripture was read by Mrs.
Chris. Dinney followed by a
piano solo by Glenn Ratz.
A short skit on S p an i s h
America was given by Mrs.
Paul Schenk and Mrs. Ervin
Ratz. Two duets were sung by
Karen Finkbeiner and Ella Mae
Schlener, one of which was sung
in Spanish.

short message on Spiritual Life

dents of the WOSA Ridgetown
were on tour recently and stop-
ped at the farms of Gordon
Hodgins and Chas. O'Shea. Gor-
don and Chas. were former
students at Ridgetown.
Allen Hodgins attended the
Perth County awards night at
Mitchell Friday. He received
the showmanship trophy he had
won at Mitchell Fair.
Mr. & Mrs. Laverne Morley
and Mr. & Mrs. Cleve Pullman
chaperoned at the Teen Town
party Friday evening at the
Community Centre.
Mr. & Mrs. Orville Davies,

ficers School at RCAF Station Centralia, prior to speaking to
the Senior Accounting Officers Financial Management Course.
