After the banquet a shOrt program was enjoyed including several solos sung by Allan Elston, accampanied by Mrs. Elston and musical numbers by a group consisting of Harvey Smith, Douglas Lewis, Ken Greb and Sam Skinner, also accom- panied by Mrs. Elston, The purpose of the banquet was to coesider organizing a United Church Men"s group for the pastoral charge and Fred Walters, president of the men's group of Main Street United church, was invited to outline the organlaation and activities of their group. Mrs, Jack Eagleson conducted the opening worship assisted by Mrs. Stewart Webb. Mrs. Robert Keyes gave the last chapter on the study of India and introduced the guest speaker, Dr. E. A. McMaster. He spoke on his visit to India also showing his pictures. Mrs. Clarke Kennedy pre- sided for the business. Reports were given by all conveners. Treasurer's report showed a balance of $770. The ladies decided to send two young people to the Toc Alpha Convention which will be held in December at Niagara Falls. Three hundred dollars was also voted to the building fund of the church. Rev.
