17.
An election of officers for
1965 was held at which the Rec-
tor Rev, J o P. Gandonoresided.

sec.-treas, Mrs. Fred Broad-

At the same meeting the rec-
tor showed a film about the Ang-
lican Congress he held in Tor-
onto in 1963.
Thp next WA meeting will be
a pot luck supper at the rectory
starting at '7 pm to which the
members will invite their hus-
bands.
Prize winner
Fred H. Hyde, RR 1 Hen.sall,
recently received the Steel
Company of Canada award of
$200 for his scholastic achieve-
ment in his first year at the
Hamilton Institute of Tech-
nology. Now a second year stu-
dent in the electronics course,
Fred is a graduate of SHDHS.

Church, Kippen Wed, evening,
Nov. 10 and was arranged by
Mrs, Lloyd Lovell and Mrs.
Edgar McBride, The program
consisted of singing by the Mc-
Kay family, accompanied by
their mother Mrs. Ken McKay.
Mrs, Lloyd Lovell conducted
two contests and sing songs
-were enjoyed with Mrs. Ross
Broadfoot at the piano. Follow-
ing the rehearsal Friday even-
ing the bridal partywere enter-

Mr. Kyle. Those who enter-

were hostesses Saturday eve-
ning for the silver wedding an-
niversary of Mr. and Mrs. Wil-
son Broadfoot (the forme r
Maude MacLean) of Goderich.
The evening was spent in playing
progressive euchre.
Mr. and Mrs. Broadfoot were
presented with a gift by Allan
MacLean of Exeter. The accom-
panying address was read by
Brian MacLean of Exeter, neph-
ews of Mrs. Broadfoot. Lunch-
eon was served to 22 guests.

Hensall where she was chief
operator for four years.

Harry M. Klungel, who re-
cently purchased the Queensway
Nursing Home in HensaLl, will
leave Monday by jet for Europe.
He will attend his brother's
wedding in Holland and visit his
father whom he has not seen/or
10 and a half years and his two
half sisters whom he has never
seen.
He will also visit England,
Belgium and France to see how
nursing homes operate in dif-
ferent countries.
He expects to be away three
weeks.

UNIT STUDIES TRINIDAD
UCW unit 1 met in the United
Church Monday evening for
their meeting with the devotion-
al session taken by Mrs. Bligh-
ton Ferg, assisted by Mrs. Ian
McAllister.
A recording of Trinidad mu-
sic was enjoyed followed with
the study by Mrs. R. Reaburn
with Mrs. Walter Spencer show-
ing a film strip on Trinidad.
A reading "Three roads to
Christmas" was given by Mrs.
Robert Reaburn who conducted
the meeting. Mrs. J. Goddard
was in charge of games and
lunch was served by Mrs. Doug
Cook, and Mrs. Garnet Allan.
The December unit meeting
will be combined with units 2
and 3. Unit 1 will be in charge
of knitting and Christmas novel-
ties at their Snowflake bazaar
Saturday, November 28.

when it was announced that the
annual Christmas party will be
held December 2 with the usual

At the conclusion of the meet-
ing a social evening was held
with proceeds to be donated to
the Childrens Shelter, Goder-
ich.
Mrs, Earl Campbell was the
winner of Christmas decora-
tions in a draw and Mrs. Annie

In a wedding ceremony at St.
Andrew's United 'Church, Kip-
pen, Saturday, November 21 at
3 pm Dorothy Yvonne Kyle be-
came the bride of James D.
Bozzato in a double ring cere-
mony before the Rev. Howard
Plant amid a floral background
of standards of bronze and yel-
low mums.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. William T. Kyle,
Kippen, and the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony
P. Bozzato of Fenwick, Ontario.
Traditional wedding music was
played by Miss Jean Ivison who
accompanied the coloist, Mr.
George Woodcock of Dearborn,
Mich., who sang 4,0 Perfect
Love" and "The Lord's Pray-
er".
Given in marriage by her
father the bride chose a street-
length gown of peau de faille
accented with motive of Alecon
lace. The fitted bodice on em-
pire lines was styled with elbow
length sleeves and a rounded
neckline. A flowing back panel
fell from the waist. A scalloped
French illusion veil was heldby
a dainty cap of petals and pearls,
and she carried a bridal bouquet
of orange roses.
Matron of honor Mrs. Harold
Caldwell, Hensall, sister of the
bride, was gowned in street-
length gold peau de soi with
matching accessories and car-
ried a bouquet of bronze mums,
Gary Bozzato of Welland was
groomsman, and Al Kyle, Kip-
pen, brother of the bride, and
Robert Bozzato, brother of the
groom, ushered guests.
The reception for 60 guests
was held in the church parlors
decorated with gold and bronze
mums and ferns. For receiving
the bride's mother wore a.royal
blue (two piece) silk crepe en-
semble with corsage of pink
carnations. The groom's moth-
er chose a black wool suit
trimmed with black fox, and
STUDY TRINIDAD
The study on the economy
and culture of Trinidad was
taken by Miss Mary Goodwin
followed by a film on Trinidad
by Mrs. Walter Spencer at the
meeting of UCW unit 3 Monday
evening.
Mrs. Spencer also -showed
.colored pictures of the trip to
the World's Fair which she and
her husband took this summer.
Mrs. Ron Mock was in the
chair. Mrs. Ross Corbett assis-
ted by Mrs. Gordon Munn and
Mrs. Alex Munn conducted the
devotional.
The next meeting December
7 will be a joint meeting with
units 1 and 2.
Mr. & Mrs. Robert Bell visi-
ted recently with Mr. & Mrs.
Earl in Toronto and attended
the Royal Winter Fair.
The marriage of Miss Janet
Elaine Coleman of Churchill and

of Churchill was solemnized
by Rev. Harold Currie at the
Hensel]. United Church, Novem-

canvass for the Canadian Bible
Society was $183.88, announced
Monday by treasurer Mr. V, M.

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bozzato

honored at a reception and dance
at Zurich Community Centre
Saturday evening. They were
presented with a purse of money
by Jamie Caldwell with presen-
tation address read by Bob
Baker Jr. Desjardine orchestra
provided music for the dance.

Mrs. John Soldan returned
home Thursday from Clinton
Public Hospital where she was

The CGIT meeting was held
Wednesday evening in Carmel
Presbyterian Church. After the
devotional exercises a recrea-
tional period of games were
enjoyed. Miss Leila. McFalls
is leader of the group.
Mrs. Bill Taylor of McKen-
zie Island, in Northern Ontario,
attended the funeral of her
mother Mrs. Edward Greens,
67, of Clinton, held from the
Ball and Mutch Funeral Home,
Clinton, Thursday, November
19, with burial inClintonceme-
tery. She is also visiting with
relatives in the village and com-
munity.
Many area residents attended
the first open house held at
Drysdale Crest Hardware, Hen-
sail, Tuesday night, November
17, The big attraction for the
children was this year's first
appearance of Santa Claus in
the village. Coffee and dough-
nuts were served to those at-
tending, and Santa gave candy
canes to the children.
Mrs. Don. Perdue, who has
spent the past week with her
mother, Mrs. Violet Schwalm,
and her brother Ray, left Sun-
day by plane for her home in
Ladner, B.C.

WI at their meeting. Members
from Kippen and Zurich bran-
