Junior Farmers mark 50th anniversary
About 250 people crowded into the Seaforth Legion hall, Friday, to enjoy a banquet to mark the
50th anniversary of the Junior Farmer movement in Ontario. It was also the 17th anniversary of
the Huron County group. R. O. Bennett, a former Huron agricultural representative, and now
assistant deputy minister of agriculture, was the guest speaker. He is shown here chatting with
Marilyn Marshall, Kirkton, president of the Huron Junior Farmers, and Maurice Love, Exeter,
a provincial director representing Huron. Bennett stressed the importance of education for
farmers so they cankeep abreast of the vast changes taking place in agriculture.--Photo by Phillips
