STUDY WSWS PURPOSE Mrs. Art Haugh, convenor of the membership Committee of the WSWS of the Evangelical UB chureh was chairlady for the WSWS meeting held Septem- ber 11. For the worship service, Mrs. Mervyn Webb read the Scripture, Mrs. George Link offered prayer and Miss Elean, or Wolfe rendered a solo. Mrs. Merrill James assisted by Mrs. Ray Guenther, Mrs. Howard Klumpp, Mrs. Cora Gasser, and Mrs. Mervyn Webb, gave a talk on "The Pgrpose and Responsibilitiesofthe WSWS". Mrs. Alan Gascho of Zurich gave an interesting report of the fifth general convention of the EUB church held at Reading, Penn. The outstanding topics of discussion at this convention were: "The ways in which we can experience a Spiritual Re- birth in Jesus Christ" and "The Racial Problem". It was con- cluded by prayer by Mrs. Art Haugh. Mrs. Carl Oestreicher, pre- sident, conducted the business.
