HIGH PRAISE
The judge of the best sports
page competition noted he had
a "tough task" in placing the
winners, and was high in his
praise of the quality of the
sports coverage.
The Trentonian again won this
class, but Ross Haugh's T-A
page was a close second.

the showing," the judge noted
in his report, adding that the
sports pages of some of the
papers "could flip heels" to
many a metropolitan daily.
It noted that the pages of
the weeklies were devoted to
"home" sports and there was
no predominant Americanbase.
