Anglican Church and cemetery,
when the Rt. Rev. G. .N, Luxton,
Bishop, of Huron, was present
for the consecration service
Or a new range, making this the
third consecration; service at
the cemetery, Following the
first part of the service in the
church the rector the Rey. 5,
O. Lancaster preceded with
Gary McFalls of Holy Trinity
Church Lucan who .acted as
server for the Bishop carry-
ing his pasteral staff, led the
choir and congregation into the
newly extended portion of the
cemetery for the consecration
service there, Psalms were

,for the cemetery chapel. The
corner stpne was laid July 13
and the chapel dedicated on
Sept. 7 by Bishop Tewnsheed,

The Edwards glass company
replaced the six church wind-
ows Wednesday that were being
reloaded. They make such a
difference with the colors from
the plain glass that was used
while the others were being
repaired.
The annual decoration and

MEMORIAL DAY SERVICES -
will be held at Zion Cemetery,
Usborne Township on Sunday,
August 30. Service in the church
at 2:30 pm conducted by the Rev.
Sach of Lucan. Ross W, Herm
secretary-treasurer of the Zion
Cemetery Association. 27c

Upon the return to the church
the official document was read
by the. rector and signed by the
Bishop, Who preamited it to the
rector and warden of the church
for safe keeping.
The Bishop addressed the
congregatien stating the well
kept cemetery situated pn No,
4 Highway, is an example to
othere."One of the tests of
quality of people are how well
they look after the dead of which
the grounds here show good
care" he said.
The property was bought from
the crown to the Canada Com-
pany July 1831 and conveyed
by the Canada Company to the
church society known as St.
James church and St. James
cemetery.
The last consecration service
was held May 1, 1921 fora new
range by the late Bishop David
Williams. The late Rev. Ken-
neth McGoun was rector at that
time and also, when the first
decoration and memorial ser-
vice was held Sept. 9, 1923.
A mausoleum was built in
1926. A cairn was erected in
memory of the late Lieut. Col.
James Hodgins and unveiled
