A day of remembrance, sad to

Without farewell you left us all,
Precious memories, treasured
ever,
Of days when we were all to-

God takes the best for reasons
divine,
But memories last to the end

No longer here our lives to
share,
But in our hearts he is always
there.

Sleep dear Dad for it is true,
You suffered so much and told
so few;
But someone knew you needed
rest,
'Twas God above and He knew
best;
Others have lost and loved we
know,
But you were our father and we
miss you so.
