Dinner was served on the lawn followed by a bueinese meeting, with Preeidept Allan Elston, Centralia in charge. President for 1965 will be Borden Smyth, Centralia.. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Tindall and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Mugford, Luca.n were elected as sports committee for 1965. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dickins, London and Mrs. Frank Dickins conducted the sports. Winners were; 6 to 8, Shelly Pinnell and Kevin Dickins; 9 to 11, Ruth Smith and Bruce Smith; kicking slipper, Larry Greenlee and Mrs. Allan Elston; guessing buttons in jar, Clarence Da- vis; relay number race, Harry Noels team; paper race, Allan Elston's team. Oldest lady was Miss Alice Maines; Mrs. Bob Tindall had the nearest birthdate and Mr. and Mrs, Allan Elston had the nearest wedding anniversary. PERSONALS Mr. Bill Johnson has been under the doctor's care but is active again. Lancaster) and the Murdy Funeral Home.—Florence Hod- gins and family, Lucan. 13c Retired farmer passes suddenly Funeral service was con- ducted on Saturday from the R. C. Dinney Funeral Home, Exeter, for the late Lloyd Fraser, 193 Mill Street, who died suddenly at his home on August 5. He was 78 years old and had lived in town for about 22 years. A native of Mooresville, Mr. Fraser had worked for several farmers in that area before poor health forced his retir- ment. He is survived by his wife, the former Gladys Hedden; two sisters, Mrs. Gordon (Edith) Bloomfield, Leamington; Mrs. George (Olive) Campbell, Ilder- ton. The service was conducted by the Rev. Ernest Lewis, James Street United Church, and burial was in Nursery Cemetery, Mooresville. Six nephews acted as pall- bearers: James McKinley, William Campbell, Harold Aus- tin, George Aikens, Carman Doupe, Gerald Cockwell. Flowerbearers were f our Kirkton women learn of. Scouts By MRS. HAROLD DAVIS KIRKTON It was hospitality night for the Class that Counts during their August meeting held in the church basement last Thursday evening. Participants in the program were Mrs. Clarence Switzer, Mrs. Allen Eveleigh and Mrs. Wilf Paton. Roll Call was an- swered by one way to be a gracious hostess. Dr. V. I. McIntosh, St. Marys spoke to the group about the work of the Boy Scouts. Mrs. Verna Bergin conducted a con- test and Mrs. Switzer gave a cookie recipe to help fill the cookie jar.
