farm owned by Veri. It is the
former Frank Treitmer farm
which is located two .and a half
miles west of Exeter on Huron
Street,

will be renovated to provide

Membership costs $15 for a
single member and $2* for a
family.
One of the features of the
property is the new, fullescele
rodeo ring which is being eree,
ted. This will be available for
riding and will also he the
scene of the inter-club compe-
tition in barrel recingand other
forms of trick riding,
A riding trail will be created
through the veri farm and will
also extend into the adjoining,
preszcator property. This will
provide a safe riding area for
all members.
\Teri reported it is planned
to have some horses on hand
for hire and there may also be
a riding instructor available
for any children or adults who
want it.
A number of the members
of the Huron Waves attended the
Mary Hastings Picnic at River-
view Park last Thursday.
Mrs. Margaret Clarke at,
tended the Hutchinson-May/son
wedding Saturday. James Hut-
ceinson is Mrs. Clarice's grand-
son.

The rodeo ring will also be
used twice a year—fall and
spring—to permit the holding
of a full-scale rodeo of pro-
fessional and amateur riders
in the Ontario Rodeo Associa-
tion.
The Association members
travel to various rodeos
throughout Ontario and compete
in bucking-horse competitions,
calf roping and other skills
found in such events as the

in Zion Lutheran church Thurs-
day, July 16, for the Bible
School at which was the largest
attendance to date, 110.
The theme was “God, my
country, and I". The pastor,

will remain for some holidays.

At St. James Church, Mr.
Richard Boaz, Huron College
student, conducted the service
and will also on July 26.
The rector the Rev. E. O.
Lancaster will return from
holidays for August 2 service.
The six windows of the church
have been removed and plain
glass ones placed till the beaded
ones are repaired and returned.
Last year the three windows in
the chancel and one vestry one
was repaired.

escapes injury
Mr. Arthur Simpson, RR 1
Clandeboye escaped serious in-
jury Monday evening July 20
when he was thrown from his
farm tractor as he was turning
in his gateway one mile and a
half north of Clandeboye on No.
4 Highway about 7 pm.
Jack Chipchase was driving
a truck for James Harvey Keys
also of Hensel]. loaded with
wheat enroute to Alex M. Stew-
art's Mill, Ailsa Craig. The
driver helped Mr. Simpson from
under the pile of wheat from
his wagon which was badly dam-
aged,
Dr. Clayton George found no
bones broken, his ankle was
twisted, shoulder and elbows
scraped.
Provincial police are investi-
gating.

Roll call at the Clandeboye
WI meeting held at the home of
Mrs. Albert Rosser, Denfield,
was answered by naming an
important event in 1964.
Many answers were given,
such as shock frocks, Alaska
earthquake, three royal births
and Prime Minister Pearson
attended the Prime Minister's
Conference in England.
Resolutions convenor, Mrs.
Albert Rosser discussed a re-
solution that at each Memorial
and Decoration service held
each September in St. James
Church, flowers be placeci there
in memory of the departed
members of the Clandeboye Wo-
men's Institute. Mrs. Rosser
was assisted by Mrs. Rupert
Williams Who gave a poem.
Mrs. Maurice Simpson gave
the motto "Friendship is the
cement that holds the world
together."
Hostess prize was won by
Mrs. Karl O'Neil. Mrs. Rosser
gave a contest on fruits which
was won by Mrs. Williams.
The executive meets in August.
Assisting the hostess was
Mrs. Ernest Lewis, Mrs. Geo-
rge Simpson and Mrs. Norman
Hardy.
