Hymn" with Miss Jean Ivison
at the organ. The bride chose a
floor length white satin gown
with chapel train, a seed pearl
head piece and nylon shoulder-
length veil, She carried a bou-
quet of white mums with white
Bible.
The bride's mother wore a
costume of blue and white fig-
ured jersey with white acces,"
aories. The groom's mother
Was unable to attend. Maid of
honor was Mrs. Lyllas Gaskell
(sister of the bride) of London,
wearing a street length red silk
ensemble, matching jacket and
white accessories and corsage
of white mums with red ribbon.
Earle White of Ridgeville act-
ed as best man for his brother.
George White and Richard Rob-
inson ushered guests.
A reception was held on the
lawn at the home of the bride's
parents, 4th concession ofStan-
ley. Those assisting were
Misses Gail, Donelda and Bon-
nie Robinson, cousins of the
bride.

Hensall Recreation Council is
sponsoring a sum m e r play-
ground for children 5 to 12
years commencing Monday,
July 6, 9 to 12 daily and will
feature arts, crafts, parades,
field day and other sports.
Recreation director is Eric
Mansfield, assistants are Miss
Cathy Scene, Miss Ann Mickle,
Den •Lenaghm, Bill Soldan.
The various sports will be
held in the Community Park.
Kinettes donate
$800 in year
The closing meeting of the
Hensall Kinette Club was held
at the home of president Mrs.
John Delis. It was announced
that over $800 dollars was don-
ated to service work in the
community in the past year.
A social evening was enjoyed
with "crazy whist", and the
winners were Mrs. Homer
Campbell and Mrs. Wm. Clem-
ent.
Lunch was served. Winners of
the lucky tea cups were Mrs.
Robt. Caldwell and Mrs. Wm.
Mickle.

A successful smorgas-
bord supper featuring turkey
and ham and fancy desserts was
held at the United Church Wed-
nesday evening 24th with ap-
proximately 375 plates served.
Sponsored by the UCW of which
Mrs. Walter Spencer is presi-
dent, this has become an an-
nual event.

Hensall School Board, teach-
ers, wives and husbands, enjoy-
ed a banquet at the Latin Quar-
ters, London.
Howard Scene chairman, and
Robert Reaburn, secret ar y-
treasurer, were presented with
desk sets as this is their last
year on the Hensall School
Board. At the beginning of 1965
they will be amalgamated with
Hay Township.
Mr. and Mrs. E. R. D av I s
were unable to be present, due
to the fact that Mrs. Davis, a
member of the school board is
ill in St. Joseph's Hospital,
London.
END FOR VACATION
The final meeting until after
the summer vacation period of
UCW unit 3 was held with Mrs.
Ron Mock presiding.
Devotional "Endurance" was
taken by Mrs. Jack Simmons,
assisted by Mrs. Charles Eckel
and Mrs. Wilmer Ferguson.
The Bible study on the later
Old Testament history was tak-
en by Mrs. Wm. Mickle.
This unit will cater for a
wedding in August for which
plans were made.

Honor teacher,
enjoy bus trip
Mrs. Laurabelle Reicher t,
teacher of SS 1 Tuckersmith,
was pleasantly surprised last
Tuesday afternoon at the school
when her pupils presented her
with a gift of a sterling silver
trillium brooch. Gwen McLean
read the address and Mervyn
Bell made the presentation.
Mothers of the pupils pro-
vided the cake, strawberries,
ice cream and pop for refresh-
ments.
PUPILS VISIT MIDLAND
Thursday pupils of grades 5,
6, 7, and 8 of Tuckersmith
School Area had a bus trip to
Midland. They were accompan-
ied by their teachers, Mr. Ivan
Forsyth and Mr. Robt. Gemmel.
At Collingwood they toured
the Blue Mountain Pottery and
the Collingwood Shipyards.
They drove along the shore of
Wasaga Beach admiring the hay
and amusement park. Lunch
was eaten at Little Lake Park,
Midland.
After lunch they explored the
India Village, then they went to
Penetanguishene where a police
cruiser escorted the buses to
Fort Penetanguishene Museum.
The next stop was the Martyrs
Shrine and look out at Fort
Ste. Marie.
Evening lunch was eaten at
Midhurst Park where they could
see a variety of animals. The
last stop was at Orangeville
for refreshments. They arrived
home about 11 pm after a very
pleasant trip.

Harry Horton.
Dr. & Mrs. R. E. Smale of
Midland visited last week with
Mr. & Mrs. Harvey Keys and
family.
Mrs. C. L. Jinks is having
the exterior of her home paint-
ed white with green trim. Mr.
Eldon Jarrott is doing the paint-
ing.
Miss. Elaine Keys has accept-
ed a position with the London
Life Insurance in London.
Mr. & Mrs. John Skea, John
and Dorothy, left Saturday for
a two weeks vacation at P.E.I.
Allan Reid is vacationing with
relatives at Tiverton.
David Pyette was one of the
delegates from SHDHS to the
United Nations Seminar at UWO
last week.
Mrs. R. J. Paterson has lost
her pet budgie which she has had
for six years, yellow and green
in color and answering to the
name of Jackie Paterson.

sall Public School at the close
of the school term Friday after-
noon presented their teacher,
Mr. Robert Reaburn, principal
of the school, with the gift of a
brief case.
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Mousseau,

Monday, June 29 for an extended
trip to the East Coast.

Hensall Arena July 2,3,7 and 8,
sponsored by the Hensall Kins-
men, who will be assisted by the

left Saturday morning by cars,
the former to spend two week;
vacationing at Calgary, Alta.,
and the latter to the coast to
spend a month's holiday.
Mrs. Wm Simpson, who has
been a guest of her mother-
in-law Mrs. L. Simpson for a
week, has returned to her home
in Birmingham, Mich, Her hus-
band is on a six-week's business
trip in Australia.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Robin-
son celebrated their golden
wedding anniversary at their
home on the Goshen Line,Stan-
ley Township, June 24. On the
preceding Sunday a family din-
ner was held in their honor at
the home of their son John
when the celebrants were ore,
sented each with a gold wrist
watch.
Prior to the anniversary date
Mr. and Mrs. Robinson were
delighted to receive a United
Church hymnary from the choir
of Goshen UC,
Richard Robinson and Ethel
M. Emerson were united in
marriage June 24, 1914 by Rev,
J. R. Johns at the home of the
bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
John Emerson, near Macgre-
gor, Manitoba.
During their married life they
spent some years at Carlyle,
Sask., but in 1937 settled on
the farm in Stanley Township
that Mr. Robinson's grandfather
had purchased from the Canada
Land Company around 125 years
ago, he being the original set-
tler on this farm.
During the afternoon and eve-
ning of the celebration they had
the great pleasure of having
more than 130 friends call on
them to offer congratulations
and to wish them continued
health and happiness. Many
beautiful gifts and flowers were
received, also cards of con-
gratulation and well wishes in-
cluding one from the Prime
Minister the lion. L. B. Pear-
son.
They have three children;
Mrs. Elmer Hayter (Norene)•
RR 1 Varna; two sons, Williams
London, John, Stanley Town-
s h ip; and 10 grandehildren.
Norene, assisted by her two
brothers welcomed the guests
and granddaughters Lynn Rob-
inson and Ann Hayter were in
charge of the register. Their
granddaughter Donna liayter
and daughters-in-laws Marie
and Margaret assisted by their
nieces and grand nieces served
refreshments to the guests.
