Hay dies in Iowa Noah Kipfer, 81, died Tuesday at Rolfe, Wye. He was born in Waterlog township and lived in Hay.township as a young boy. He has been farming in Iowa for some 60 years. Survived by wife, two sons, three datighters, two sisters! Lancaster took the regular afternoon ser- vice for Rogation Sunday. In the evening at 8:30 the Rev. Stanley G. Tomes, showed pictures, for the WA of St. Peters Church and St. Clements Anglican Church of Sachi go Lake which was built by the Rev. C. F. R. McFadden. His father was born at Clandeboye, later lived in Granton and now in Saskatchewan. In the three room school at Big Trout Lake, the principal, H. E. Bennett, and his wife have living quarters there. He is from Carleton Place near Ottawa. Mr. McFadden was Mr. Tomes' predecessor who start- ed the church, St. Peter's, at Big Trout Lake. Other pictures shown were the mission house or rectory, the parish hall, which is not completed inside, and the in- terior of the church with organ that was sent from Clinton. Mr. Tomes recently officiat- ed for four weddings in the church and he showed pictures of the happy couples. Also of the catheists, who take the ser- vices when necessary. This small island, 425 miles North East of Winnipeg has no roads but is reached by air, boats and canoes. A weather station and the Hudson Bay store are there. An offering to help at the mission at Big Trout Lake was taken. PERSONALS Mrs. Kurt Gehel entertained for her daughter Susan on her fifth birthday Thursday, April 30.
