The Sunday School teachers of Cromarty Presbyterian church attended a teacher's training course which was held in Listowel Presbyterian church Saturday. When trying to start an auto- matic transmission car with a flat battery, always push it, the Ontario Safety League recom- mends. If it is towed it is liable to jump ahead when the engine starts, risking a colli- sion with the towing car. Dif- ferent makes of automatic transmission cars have differ- ent recommended procedures for push-starting. Most should be pushed in neutral to reach a speed of 20 or 25 mph before Drive, or Low is engaged. In spite of the fact many of their players were down stairs watching the exciting Lucan- Forest hockey game, there were still eight tables of euchre. Ladies' high score prize went to Mrs. Harvey Hodgin s and Miss Lina Abbott (playing a man's card) won the mens' high score prize, Low score prizes went to Mrs. Cecil Neil and Tommy Ryan. Pat Ryan won the lone hand prize and Mrs. Lizzie Jackson won the box of groceries. During the evening the travelling prize for lone hands in spades changed owner- ship 14 times. Rev. George R. Slater of Bryon gave an illustrated talk on his cruise around the world. MEDWAY EUCHRE Last Wednesday evening 18 members of the Medway Euchre Club met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. McRoberts. High score prizes went to Mrs. W. J. Stanley and Clar- ence Lewis; lone hand prizes to Mr. and Mrs. Austin Hobbs and low score prizes to Mrs. E. E. Summers and Wm. Mc- Comb. The final game, which will take the form of a turkey din- ner, will be held April 15 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Aus- tin Hobbs. President Lyndon B. Crediton E.U.B. Church Silver collection for charity SHOW PIC OF ORPHAN Mrs. Jim Miller and Mrs. Fred Doupe, missionary con- veners for the Sunday School, had charge of the service Sun- day. Mrs. Miller acted as lead- er. The scripture lesson was read by Brenda Parkinson and David Strahan sang a solo. Mrs. Norris Webb showed pictures of the little Korean girl, Jang Hei Kyung who has been adopted by the Sunday School, and told about her fa- mily and the country they live in. This made the project of the adopted child more real to everyone. Mrs. Ken Langford also told an interesting story. During the offering which was taken by Michael Webb and John Gar- tenburg a recorded hymn by the World Vision Korean Orphan Choir was played. PERSONALS Mrs. L.
