In turn, the midgets made some surprise presentations of their own, honoring Bud Bes- tard, ReV, Ray Earell, and Ken Freebairn, Sr., coaches of the hockey teams. Dennis Riggin, farmer De- troit Red Wing goaltender, spoke informally about NHL play and showed the boys sam- ples of masks worn by goalies in the NEIL. He presented a color film of the 1963 NHL playoffs. Pictures of the championship hockey team, taken by Mrs. Bestard, were presented to members through the courtesy of W. F. B. MacLaren.
