FINAL WINNERS
The Elinwille WI held their
last euchre at the hall last
Monday evening.
Winners were: ladies high,
Mrs. Frayne Parsons; genes
high, Floyd Cooper; lone hands,
Wayne Prance; consolation,
Brian Herm lucky cup, Frayne
Parsons.
The dutch auction of grocer-
ies was won by Emerson Pen-
hale. A dance followed the lunch.

The Eliniville YPU held a

Thames Road Church Sunday
morning at 7 pm followed with
an Easter breakfast served by
the girls and enjoyed by the
boys.

ford Hockey Ass'n trophy and
the Larnbtoa-Middlesex ball
trophies, which were presented
by officials to Captain Craig
Hamilton, Of the puck team, and
Co captains Hansey.deJong and
Bud Desjardine, of the ball
&Oast.

hey Eddie Grenier, received
individual trophies from Man-
ager Lawrence Mason and
Coach Joe Green (ball), Coach
Bud Bestard and sports organi,
aer Don Flear (hockey).
In turn, the midgets made
some surprise presentations of
their own, honoring Bud Bes-
tard, ReV, Ray Earell, and Ken
Freebairn, Sr., coaches of the
hockey teams.
Dennis Riggin, farmer De-
troit Red Wing goaltender,
spoke informally about NHL
play and showed the boys sam-
ples of masks worn by goalies
in the NEIL. He presented a color
film of the 1963 NHL playoffs.
Pictures of the championship
hockey team, taken by Mrs.
Bestard, were presented to
members through the courtesy
of W. F. B. MacLaren.
Clayton Mathers, chairman of
the recreation committee, pre-
sided for the banquet, served
by the Legion auxiliary.

Most of the grades 13 and
12 students were able to listen
to the speaker of their choice
but many of the grade 10 and
9 students were disappointed
because all of them couldn't
hear the man they had selected.
However, it was imposstble to
satisfy everyone since the
classrooms don't have enough
desks.
On the whole, I believe it
was a success and I personally
