Paisley turned to Delbridge:
"You'd better keep quiet—you
are just making a mess of it."
Delbridge laughed with the
rest of them, but he shot back
at Paisley; "The lights didn't
bother us on the way back — we
didn't get any headaches."
Reeve Fisher stepped into the

The death occurred of Mrs.
Alfred Miller, Detroit, the for-
mer Olive Hayter, daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs, Charlie
Hayter of RR 1 Clandeboye,
interment was in Detroit.
She was predeceased by her
husband two years ago.
She is survived by two sis-
ters, Ruth, Detroit, (Evelyn)
Mrs. Jay Whiteford, Grand Bend
and two brothers, Verdon, De-
troit and Edison of London.

4-11 CLUB MEETING
The second and third meeting
of Elimville I Homemaking Club
were held on Monday, Feb. 24
at the home of Shirley Jaques
with 11 members present.
The president Barbara Hern
opened the meeting. AU repeat-
ed the 4-H pledge. Minutes of
last meeting were given by
Geraldine Blair.
Notes were given on "Line,
colour and texture of clothes
as suited to certain figure types,
color harmony, design, texture
and suitability to occasion",
by Mrs. Thomas Hern and Mrs.
Ron Fletcher. Members were
given samples of material for
their record books. Mrs. Hern
showed how to make your own
bias binding.
The next meeting will be held
Monday evening March 23 at 7
pm at the home of Mrs. Hern.
Centralia violinist
wins festival class
Hugh Marsh, eight-year-old
son of F/L William J. and
Mrs. Marsh, RCAF, Centralia,
won highest marks (84) in the
violin solo class, 10 years and
under, at the London Kiwanis
Music Festival, Tuesday.
He also was placed fourth in
the 12 and under class with 83
marks and special commenda-
tion from the adjudicator.
