were very colorful and It was
not difficult to distinguish one
country from another. Coun-
tries represented in the dances
were America, Japan, Israel
and Russia.
Many people have commented
to me that this is one of the
best commencement programs
they have ever seen,
of the roads. Jim Coates and
Mar gar et Johns took their
parts. Neither of the students
had ever seen the lines before
so they learned what they could
in one hour and usedbookswhen
necessary. The play was still a
success,
The dances this year were
all different. The costume s

the best!
Even though the snow caused
hazardous driving conditions on
Thursday, it cleared sufficient-
ly at night to allow a large
crowd to attend the Commence-
ment program that night.
However, Friday the weather
was even worse and many coun-
try roads were filled in with
snow, The audience was only
half as large as the night before.
The program was shortened
this year but it still lasted
nearly three hours.
The Grade 13 skit was based
on Shakespeare's "Hamlet" but
this was the students' own ver-
sion of it. Bill Dinnin played the
part of Hamlet and he certainly
fitted the part. Another good
performance was shown by Ro-
ger Cann in his role asthe king.
The queen was played by Bonnie
Turvey.
The first half of this play
centers around a funeral while
the last half concerned a duel
which was held and from which
Hamlet emerged the victor.
The Grade 12 play "Life of
the Party" was a comedy which
centered around a 13-year old
boy Wilbur, who hadn't 'been
invited to his sister's party. He
absentmindedly pours sleeping
medicine into the punch and then
takes the carbonated Water,
which he was supposed to pour
in, up to his father, who Wanted
sleeping medicine,
From then On alliS confusion,
as his sister, the hostess, wat-
ches her guests drop off to
sleep one by one. Wilbur finds
a way to wake them by placing
an alarm clock on a pail, The
party continues when the guests
arrive but Wilbur, who has been
drinking the punch, now falls
asleep.
Gary 8cho1l was the ideal
Wilbur and he had the audience
