HomeMy WebLinkAboutThe Exeter Times-Advocate, 1963-12-12, Page 14WARREN CLARK Warren Clark, 72, died at Dunnville RR 8 Moulton Station, in the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, Dec, 3. Mr. Clark was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Clark. He was born in Gainsborough township county of Lincoln on May 14, 1891, He was a car- penter by trade. November 20, 1929 he was married to Lena Davis, Saints- bury. He was a faithful member of Moulton Station United Church of which he was elder and trustee. Surviving besides his widow, is one daughter Jean at home. A son Earl predeceased him on February 6, 1955. The funeral service was held from the Ballard funeral home, Dunnville, on Friday, Dec. 6 with N. T. Reader of Moulton Station United Church officiat- ing. Interment took place at Zion Cemetery, Wainfleat, Those who attended from this community were Mr. and Mrs. Maurice MacDonald and How- ard, Lucan, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Kooy and Clayton also Mr. and Mrs. Murray Neil of Exeter. Mr. Fred Dobbs returned home on Sunday evening from Matachewan, where he was one of a moose hunting party. While Mr, Dobbs was away, Mr. H. A. McLean, Teeswater, visited his daughter Mrs. Dobbs. Mrs. Harry Carroll spent Friday at the home of Mrs. Maurice MacDonald, Lucan. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Broom, Exeter were Saturday evening guests with Mr. and Mrs. Torn Rees. By MRS. HEBER DAVIS. Mrs. Ross MacDonald spoke of the leadership course that the CGIT held in Toronto. The wor- ship period pertaining to the Christmas theme was in charge of Mrs. John Baker and Mrs. Gerald Bell, with Mrs. Baker reading the story of "The Black Madonna." Rev. Ross MacDonald gave the Christmas message and fa- vored with a solo accompanied at the piano by Mrs. MacDonald. PERSONALS Mr. and Mrs. Karl Haslip, Susan and Joey of Hamilton, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Eric Kennedy. At the United Church Sunday morning a poinsettia was placed in the church in loving memory of Edgar McQueen by his sister Miss Hattie McQueen of Miami, Florida. Other floral tributes were placed in loving memory of Mrs. Clarence Parke by the fa- mily. All articles of clothing and toys were turned in to pack for the Children's Aid Society, Sar- nia, The next meeting will be held Tuesday, January 14, 1964 at the home of Mrs, Clarke Kennedy. The raffle donated by Mrs. Ken Roberts was won by Mrs. Mel Douglas. Lunch was served by Mrs. Marty Burke and Mrs. John Young. ST.
