A practice and another meet- ing will be held this Friday night. If the club Is formed it will probably become the 10th team in the area OHA intermediate league. Teams include Lucan, Forest, Seaforth, Milverton, RCAF Clinton, Elmira, St,Cle- ments and Goderich. Boyle himself said he did not intend to take a post with the club. "I'm just trying to spark: it. I want no part of it really." "It seems a shame," he said, "that a town the size of Exeter which spends so much money on minor hockey doesn't have an intermediate club." He said he felt there should be some fan support, particularly since the theatre has closed. He indicated there would be no junior club this year. to cut prices right in the middle of the season be- cause we need the room for Christmas merchandise. DOn't delay! Two first downs brought the football to the Panther 13. A quarterback option by Mc- Dowell brought the ball to the second. McDowell then went off-tackle to. produde the touch- down. The convert was blocked leaving the score 13-6 in favor of the northern crew. Again, after taking the kickoff the Panthers were forced to punt. Before the quarter ended Wingham brought the ball to the Panther 35 yard line after a 35 yard aerial. They failed to capitalize on this break as the Panthers re- covered a fumble on their own 15-yard line. After the teams had traded kicks twice the ball ended up at mid-field in the Panthers' posSession. Once again they were stopped just short of a first down. Wingham could not move the ball at all and the Panthers had their last chance to tie the ball game. Quarterback Don Cann Made a single first down befOre time rail but.
