placed 153 entries on display in
Russeldale Hall for the annual
Horticultural Flower Show. Mr.
James Burston, London, was
the judge.
A large crowd attended the
program in the evening. Taking

Rosemary Ratcliffe; violin se-
lection, Mrs. Doris Westman;

The second meeting of the
Pleb, "The. Milky Ways" Was_
held at the home of the leader
Mrs. Stewart pepper at 2:301)14

was answered by members
which was "MY Average Score
for Milk for one Week", The
first of the meeting was a re-
view from the previous one.
This meeting's theme was
"Milk in many forms". There
are 14 different types of milk
and practically all these were
shown.
Two methods of home pas,-
teurization were demonstrated
by Donna Stoll and Ruth Ann
Coleman, Each girl was to have
brought a custard cup of junket
to the meeting which was the
previous meeting's home as-
signment and each person hada
taste, This proved to be in-
teresting.
Donna Whitehouse had pre-
viously made cocoa syrup and
each girl had a cocoa drink. It
was decided to have blue record
books with white lettering for
this club,
The next meeting is to be
held at the home of the assist-
ant leader, Mrs. Robert Gem-
mell at 2:30 pm on September
14.

United Church will hold their
annual bazaar on Saturday, No-
vember 23 in the Sunday School
rooms of the church. Doors to
open at three o'clock. Further

MEMORIAL SERVICE —On
Sunday afternoon,September
15, there will be a memorial and
dedication service at the Den-
field cemetery. At this service
a monument to the memory of
the pioneers of the Welsh set-
tlement will be dedicated. The
service will begin at 2:30 p.m.

latives are invited. In case of
rain the service will be held in
the Denfield Baptist Church.
