Mrs. Ross Skinner and Fran,

The second meeting of the
club was held at the home of
Miss Frances Skinner with 13
members present,
The roll call was answered
with "How We Use Milk At
Home". The minutes were read
by Miss Margaret Johns.
Egg nog, chocolate milk
drink, heavenly rice pudding
made by the leaders Mrs, Ross
Skinner and Miss FrancesSkin-
ner were sampled.

Miss Shirley Johns began her
nursing career last week at
Hamilton General Hospital and
Miss Frances Johns is attending
University of Western Ontario.
Bert Vos is spending two
week's vacation in Prince Ed-
ward Island along with his
grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Vos,
Mrs. Horace Delbridge and
Mrs. Win. Routly of the Elim-
ville UCW attended the retreat
for UCW at the Goderich Sum-
mer Church Camp on Saturday.
Mrs. Wm. Routly spent the
weekend with Mrs. Kenneth
Hogg of Thorndale at her sum-
mer cottage at Grand Bend.
Mr. Martin is a patient in
South Huron Hospital when he
suffered a stroke on Sunday
evening.

The New 1964 VALIANT
transferred to Maritime Air
Command as staff officer
ground training.
"Bill" served as a navigator
with the RCAF bomber com-
mand during the war. After this
he attended the University of
Toronto graduating with his B.
A,, B. Paed., and M. Ed., re-
ceiving his teacher's diploma
from the Ontario College of
Education in Toronto.
While at Clinton in the radio
and communication school S/L
Farrell conducted experiments
in "programmed instruction"
for the RCAF. These experi-
ments were the first in the
Canadian Armed Forces and
among the first inNorthAmeri-
ca.
Former Torontonians, the
Farrells, Bill and Jewell, with
their sons John, Donald, and
Gordon, live at 107 Columbia
Drive, Huron Park.
RETURNS FROM GHANA
R. A. "Bob" Caskie recently
returned to RCAF Centralia
from a tour in Ghana and has
been promoted to Squadron
Leader in the aircrew branch.
"Bob" served as Flight Com-
mander of Number 1 Squadron
of the Canadian Armed Forces
Training Team with the Ghanain
air force since November 1961.
Prior to this he was a flying
instructor at Centralia.
He is married to the former
Joan E. Chapman of Vancouver.
They have one daughter Gwen-
dolyn Ann.

Funeral services for the late
Freeman Dinsmore Arksey of
Lot 20 Concession 10 West
Boundary Blanshard, who died
suddenly at his home on Thurs-
day last were held in the Mar-
riott Funeral Home on Monday
afternoon with the Rev. Ernst,
Woodham United Church in
charge. Interment was made in
Kirkton cemetery.
Mr. Arksey was born in Blan-
shard '74 years ago, a son of the
late Alvin Arksey and his wife
the former Ann Dinsmore. He
farmed in the township all his
life.
He was a member of Woodham
United Church.
Mr. Arksey is survived by his
wife the former Cora Rinn, a son
Andrew at home and a brother
George in Blanshard Twp.
Pallbearers were, Wm. Els-
ton, Bert Duffield, Wm. Heath-
er, Milne Pullen, Frank Rodd
and Harry Klahre.
