CHILE CON CARNE
As We write this no one wants
to think of anything "hot''. Mrs,
Ted Jones was reporting a mee-
ting and she said they intended
to have a barbecue but "the
evening was so chilly they de-
cided to have a chili," I pre-
sume we looked rather blank
and she continued "Oh, T mean
chili con carne. Our group often
has it when we entertain our
husbands—it is so easy to make
and keep hot--I take it when we
go to the cottage on Bruce Pen-
insuia." Here is the recipe;
1 1b. hamburger
1 onion chopped.
Brown together in skillet.
Add 2 tins tomato soup
2 tins kidney beans
2 tp chili powder
1/8 tp cayenne
Simmer 20 minutes.
