EXETER POLICE SAFETY CHECK
Tues., Wed. & Thurs., June 18, 19, 20 Exeter Arena
Exeter Council has proclaimed June 17 to 22 as SAFETY WEEK
and Exeter Police Department will be conducting car safety checks at
Exeter Arena next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, June 18, 19 and
20. Following that, spot checks will be made by police of those cars
which do not have safety stickers.
Every motorist has a responsibility to co-operate in this important
campaign. Don't neglect YOUR car. THE LIFE YOU SAVE MAY BE
YOUR OWN!
Bad enough to see your accident-smashed car wind up in the junk
heap. But the grimmest part of the picture lies in the tragic toll of
precious lives lost, years of suffering and handicap to be endured. This,
indeed, is your BEST reason to make sure your car is in safe mechanical
condition.
With heavy weekend and vacation traffic jamming the highways,
summer is the time to drive with EXTRA care, to keep your eyes on
the road, your hands on the wheel and to make a special effort to have
your car in top operating condition.
