ther's Kitchen", A question and
answer period on institute work
was discussed by Mrs, Harold
Kellerman, Mrs. Art Allemand,
Mrs. Ernest Koehler, and Mrs.
Otto Willert.
The 4-H girls were present
and Janet Miller, Mary Lou
Schenk, and Eleanor Wolfe gave
the skit they had presented at
achievement day in Exeter and
all the girls modelled their
dusters.Two of the girls, Judy
Webb and Lynda Kraft, were
presented gifts, having obtained
county honors. The two leaders,
Mrs. Stuart Wolfe and Mrs.
Leonard Schenk also were given
gifts for their work with the
girls.
The June meeting is to be a
grandmothers meeting with a
tour of Pete Eisenbaches mus-
eum at Grand Bend,
MOTHER, DAUGHTER FETE
The annual mother and daugh-
ter banquet sponsored by Zion
Lutheran Ladies Aid was held
Wednesday, May 8 with group 1
and Mrs. Lorne Genttner, con-
vener, in charge. Miss Helen
Nadiger proposed a toast to the
mothers with Mrs. Herb Wein
replying with a toast to the
daughters.
Grace Keller was the daugh-
ter with the birthday nearest
the supper and was presented
with a gift. Mrs. Lorne Klein-
stiver received a gift for the
lucky plate.
Following supper a short pro-
gram followed including piano
solos by Margaret Merner and
Janet Miller; readings by Mrs.
John Rader, Mrs. Ervin Devine
and her daughter Yvonne; ac-
cordion solo by Lynda Rader;
duet by Joanne and Janice Hay-
ter; and instrumental numbers
by the Salmon sisters.
Mrs. Milford Merner, presi-
dent, presided for the Ladies
Aid business.
PERSONALS
This is a big week in the
lives of all beginners at Dash-
wood Public school for they will
all have visited the school and
been registered by Friday.
