is assistant librarian.
Considerable improvements
were made at the library during
the year but in spite of the sere
vice being offered to the com-
munity by thelibrary, member-
ship and book circulation fell
down during the year. It is the
hope of the board that every
one will realize that the library
is a real asset to the whole com-
munity, The library is served
regularly with books from the
Huron County Library and in
addition a goodly ;lumber of new
booke are purchased each year.
A membership in the library,
adults only 50e a year and child-
_ ren 10e, is the best investment
one can make and in addition
it is rendering a public ser-
vice to the Centralia community
and signifying a desire to have
library service continued inthe
village.
SUNDAY SERVICE
Squadron Leader Rev. J. S,
Bonham of the RCAF Centralia
was guest preacher et the morn-
ing service in the United Church
on Sunday. The service was con-
ducted by Rev. Duncan M. Guest
and Mr. J. McAllister of Tor-
onto was the soloist.

ham conducted the confirmation
service of the United Church

15th anniversary of the Slim-
vile Women's Institute held
on Friday evening at the church.
Miss Marjorie Papple of Sea-
forth was the guest speaker.
During the church service on

elected Elder of the church.
