John Roulston's marker in the
middle per ioda.ndHern's sec-
ond of the fray completed the
Exeter scoring.
Danny Gloor was the only
Mitchell youngster to find the
target behind Rick Brintnell.
In addition to his duo of
s co r e s, Graham Hern was
credited with an assist, giving
him three points for his night's
work matching the output of
Frank DeVries, all of whic h
were gathered by the assist
route.
MAUL MITCHELL
With Gary Parsons and Bob
Burns pacing the attack, nabbing
four points apiece, Boom's mid-
gets continued their unbeaten
habits.
Tallying four times in the
first session, the locals de-
cided the outcome early. Par-
sons picked up a hat-trick plus
one to make up his total, while
Burns came up with one goal
and helped on three plays, as
he was very effective in a play-
making role,
Helping the cause greatly was
the effort of Brian Baynham in
picking up two markers and
assisting a team-mate on an-
other.
Larry Willert and. John Lock
were on the firing endof singles
to complete the locals' scoring
barrage.

Playing on successive nights,
the Exeter Squirts came up with
two victories in three tries in
exhibition play last week.
SWAMP IRISH
Starting off their three game
series in Lucan, Thursday, with
a four-goal effort by Dennis
Thompson leading the way, the
local squirts ran roughshod o-
ver the Irish tykes 13-0.
Jimmy Guenther's hat trick,
two-goal performances by
Chris Riddell and Larry Haugh
and single counters from the
sticks of Allan McLean and Den-
nis Quinn completed the rout.
Without having to make a sin-
gle stop, Peter Glover came up
with a shut-out in_ the Exeter
nets.
LOSE TO ST. MARYS
Taking most of the night to
get untracked, Lorne Haugh's
kids came to life late in the
third period against St. Marys
at the local arena, Friday, only
to come out on the short end
of a 5-2 count.
Brian Dunseith scored the
only marker of the first period
for St, Marys. Tony Herlick
picked up a pair in the middle
stanza to increase the Stone
Towners' lead to 3-0. In the
final period, Bob Noble added
another brace to put the locals
on the short end of the score
5-0.
Quick tallies by J iramy Guen-
ther and Chris Riddell in the
closing three minutes of play
wound up the scoring in the
cleanly played contest.
EDGE GODERICH
Putting on their best display
of the year, the Squirts edged
their Goderich counterparts 1-0
in the lakeport arena, Saturday
evening.
The only score of the tilt
came at 8.34 of the second per-
iod when Larry Haugh tallied
unassisted for his dad's team.
Both teams played well, with
speedy skating and sharp pass-
ing dominating the night's ac-
tion. Barry Smithers in the net
for the locals turned in a spark-
ling display to chalk up his shut-
out.
