by spoiling Centralia's home
opener with an 11.5 romp in
Exeter Theraday, and .after
dropping a 0-4 decision to the
Chevs bounced back to drub

club a total of eight points.
Following closely in second

who kept their win streak intact
at three games with a 9.2 win.

'Philipsburg last night (Wednes-
day) and the Hawks play in
Forest tonight.

Lloyd Moore, a graduate of
the Exeter minor hockey setup,
scored three goals in Lucan,
Friday, to pace the Lucan-il-
derton. Combines to a 10.3 win
over the winless Clinton Thun-
derbolts.
The visitors managed to stick
with last year's Big Eight
champions for part of the first
period, but after that they were
never in the contest as the
hosts dominated play.
Lucan-Ilderton jumped into
ft 4.0 lead in the first six min-
utes of the tilt on a pair of
goals by Barry Hearn and
singles by Moore and Don
Fletcher, hut the Thunderbolts
fought back to • cut the lead in
half on markers by Robertson
and McNutt.
However, Moore came hack
with his second of the night at
the 14:10 mark on a play with
Ken Loft and Stu O'Neil pushed
the lead to 6.2 before Gingras
beat Straehan at the 17:41
mark.
The .Combines upped their
margin to 7.3 at the end of the
period when roach Max O'Neil
dented the twine on a play with
Hearn and Dusty Aldis with
only 30 seconds left in the pe-
riod.

plowed under by a 9-0 count by

In the b'-ys' division. in tile
junior grades, the Dandelions
look a commanding lead with
two wins in the three-team
grouping. They clipped. the
Thistles by a close 12-11. mar-
gin and were extended to over ,
time before clowning the Dan-
delions 17-15.
In the senior girls' race, the
Poodles • moved into top spot
with a pair of wins, stopping
the Terriers by a 14-7 margin
and clipping the Scotties 15-6.
In the other senior loop, tile
Hawks and Sea Gulls share top
spot with a win each, The
Hawks grounded the- Owls by a
slim 15-12 count, while the Sea
Gulls dropped the Crows by a
15-10 margin.

of the period and left the ice
with a 4-3 margin as Bob Jones,
Mike Cushman and Rick Boyle
picked up singles.
Boyle pushed the lead to two
goals in the early minutes of
the middle period on his second
goal on a three-way passing
play with Jones and Frank
Boyle and they appeared to be
heading for -their first win.
However, Noble potted his
second of the night at the 14:01
mark and. Stevens knotted the
count with a tally in the last
second of play in • the middle
period.
