A mixed team of Exeter's
junior bowlers easily whipped
a team representing the Lon-
don Bowling Lanes in a home,
and-home challenge series con,
eluded in Exeter, Friday,
Paced by the sparkling ef-
forts of Bill Farquhar and Hank
Goer, the locals scored an SO-
pin margin over their rivals in
the two-game set, losing only
one of the six games played.
`Farquhar was sensational in
the opening games in London as
he finished with a total of 780,
He started out with a 212 game
and came right back with a
213 and then really started
knocking -them over to climax
his efforts with a sparkling 350
game,
Closer was second with a 617
total, despite the fact he dipped
to a 149 game in the last round.
Darlene and Barbara Skinner
placed behind the two boys
with totals of 588 and .529 re-
spectively,
Moving hack to their home
alleys, the local kids continued
their fine showing with Gosar
and Farquhar again leading the
day. Gosar trundled a triple of
629 to edge his mate by a single
pin,
Farquhar however had the
high game with a 248 while Go-
sar's best effort was a 229.
Darlene Snell was again in
third spot on the team with a
100 vie for fowl
at Legion bingo
Over 100, persons ,conipeted
for fowl at the Fixefer Legion's
weekly bingo tills week end
