tient in St. Joseph's Hospital,
London, having undergone sur-
gery on Tuesday,

daughter of Chief C. H. and
Mrs. MacKenzie, returned. home
from an appendix operation in
St. Joseph's Hospital.
The winners were presented
with silver trophies hy Mrs.
Ross Tueliee, and the second and
third winners received 'Silver
dollars.

escorted members of the Grand
Bend Legion and Ladies' Aux-
iliary to the. cenotaph, Sunday,
for a brief hut stirring Remem-
brance Day service,
The service was conducted
by Rev, Ray Farrell, minister
of Si, Johns by-the-Lake Angli-
can church and. Rev, L. :Hoff-
man, pastor of the Church of
God.
John Asselstyne led in the
singing of a hymn and the
wreath laying ceremony w as
conducted by Borden "Buss"
Clark.
The following wreaths were
laid in memory of the fallen:

visited the Russian Orthodox
Church in London last Sunday.
Two of ;he church members
were on hand to explain the
origin and customs of the
church to the young people and
to answer questions concerning
the worship service.
While they were not able to
attend the actual, worship ser-
vice which was held in the
morning, the area youth were
a bit relieved after learning
that the 'worshippers stand ,dui.
ing the entire service which.
lasts from two to two and a
half hours,
