Lake Anglican Church, Grand Bend, held its meeting on Mon• day evening as guests of Mrs. Ken Young at her home in Oak- wood so they might honor de- parting member, Mrs, Karl MacKenzie who has heels a slat- wart worker during her stay in Grand. Bend, Mrs. Frank Plumb presided and a motion was passed to augment the supply of cutlery, glasses and china. Various donations of material and offers of assistance were gratefully accepted by the ba- zaar and Dorcas convenors, A nominating committee con- sisting of Mrs. Reptile and Mrs. Maurice Tiedeman was appointed to prepare a slate of officers for the coming year. There will be a euchre and bridge on Friday, Nov. 16. Next meeting will be held in the parish hall with Mrs. R. Wilson and Mrs. K, Young as lunch convenors, During the social hour Mrs. MacKenzie was presented with a gift .and best wishes for a happy three years in Germany. Orpha Club meet The Orpha Club met on No- vember 6 at the home of Mrs. Clarke Kennedy with 21 ladies .present. Dolls were given to the mem- bers to be dressed, also mate- rial for ,pyjamas and dresses. Mrs. Leroy Bariteau and Mrs. Wally DesJardine were appoint- ed to purchase toys.
