HOW MANY WENT TO A BANK FIRST?
Probably most of them / Experienced travellers have learned that a chartered
bank can add greatly to the enjoyment and contentment of travelling.
Here you can get answers to currency questions, leave valuables in
safekeeping, obtain letters of introduction, Travellers Cheques are ideal
for day-to-day expenses, ror larger sums, you may prefer a Letter of Credit,

With. the newspapers, radio

dangerous and serious Hal-

"A good time was had by all

a minimum.
"I also wish to thank the
Lions Club for their splendid
contribution, at the local arena,
"I would like to make special
mention of the soaping of ear

uous by its absence. This type
of conduct, in my estimation,

example to other towns,
"Again I say 'many thanks',
A, E. Cowan
Chief Constable
Lucan Police Dept.
Principal Robert Jenkins re-
ported a few windows at the
back of the public school had
received a little soaping and
five floodlights had been re-
moved but no windows had been
broken and no one had broken
into the school. Most household-
ers reported no soaping at all
and others reported only a few
strokes.
What a change from previous
years when house-wives bearly
froze trying to remove soap
and wax! Even store windows
were not as badly marked as
usual.
Why? Was it the tax on soap;
have former troublesome teen-
agers grown up, was it the
combined training of teachers,
group leaders and parents or
was it Lucan's genial Constable?
Whatever the reason may it
continue for 1963's Hallowe'en.
