Mrs„ C, Facey
dies in Stratford
Alt's, Carman Facey, 50, died
Tuesday afternoon, October 23,
at Stratford General Hospital.
She was the former :Beatrice
Snider, the daughter of the
late Mr, and Mrs, Edward
Snider and was horn in Heidi-
mand County on. August 23,
1912, She had lived in the New
Hamburg and Wilmot Town-
ship prior to living in East
'Lorca Township following her
marriage to Carmen Facey in
1942, For the past three and
a half years she had resided
al lot 17, concession '11, RR 6
Woodstock.
She was the first president
of the Women's Missionary So-
ciety of Bethel United Church,
Wilmot Township, and a former
president of the. Princess Eliza-
beth Branch of the Women's
Institute, East Zorra. Town-
ship. She was a member of
the Hickson United Church.
Besides her husband she is
survived by two daughters,
Katherine and Florence, both.
at home; two brothers, Law-
rence (Larry) Snider and C.
E. (Ted) Snider, both of Ex-
eter, and two sisters, Mrs.
Robert Schiedel, RR 1 New
Hamburg, and Mrs. Edward
Shute, Truro, Nova Scotia.
The body will be at the
Francis Funeral Home, Tavis-
lock, until Friday noon, then
to Hickson United Church for
service at 2 o'clock. Burial
will follow in the Bethel Unit.

tended a family dinner at Green
Forest Lodge, Grand Bend, on
Sunday evening in honor of Ihe
50th wedding anniversary of Mr.
and. Mrs. Herbert Harlton, Ship-
ka,
On Tuesday afternoon and
evening they were at home to
their relatives and friends at the
home of their daughter and son-
in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Karl
Guenther, Shipka.
The celebrants were presented
with a table lamp by the com-
munity, a radio and bedspread
from the family and many
other tokens of good wishes.

baker, Premier John Roharts;
L. E. Cardiff, MP; lion. Lester
B. Pearson, ex-MP' Robert Mc-
Cubbin and many relatives in
the Canadian West.

They are members of Green-
way United Church where Mr.
Harlin/I is an elder and Mrs.
United Church Women.
They have four daughters,
three of whom trained as nur-
ses, and the youngest, Mrs,
Kenneth (Audrey) Westman,
London, was a teacher, The
others are Mrs, Clyde (Evelyn)
Nicholson, Bridgden; Miss Dor-
othy Hutton, London, and Airs.
