Sunday service
A large congregation, includ-
ing many visitors, attended the
special thankoffering service
in the church on Sunday morn-
ing, when the pastor, Rev. D.
M. Guest conducted the serv-
ice and delivered a forceful
sermon using for his subject
"Four Great Words",
Ought was the first word
chosen and the speaker pointed
out that Christians are not peo-
ple who do as they like but
should do as they ought. In life
we have a daily vocabulary —
a usage of words — the dark-
est word is sin, the meanest,
hypocrite and the greatest word
is love,
Can was the second, will the
third and have the fourth of
the great words. The last de-
notes achievement — "I have
fought a good fight, I have fin-
ished my course and I have
kept the -faith."
Two anthems were sung by
the choir under the direction
of the organist and choir lead-
er, Mrs. Kenneth Hodgins.
