Teen Town Dance
With Hallowe'en right around
the corner, the local Teen Town
Club have completed final ar-
mogements for their Hallowe'en
dance in the Exeter Arena on
Friday, October 26,
Dwayne Tinney & Co., a very
competent group of musicians,
will provide the popular music.
Dancers may come as they
wish, They can wear Hallowe'en
costumes or the usual dress.
Good Program
The loca. students have a fine
program lined up for this dance.
A RUM her of spot dances will
take placee as well as the re,
ceiOng of free pop ( Pepsi or
Teem) and hot dogs. The pop

Teen-Age Ballroom
For students who don't know
how to dance, Erringion Studios
of London are planning to run
a c"Peen-Age :Ballroom" pro-
gram in the basement of the
Exeter Public Library. starting
on Wednesday, November 7 at
8:00 p.m.
The cost of the dancing les-
sons is $10, Smooth dancing,
twist varieties, cha-cna and
mombo are some of the dances
that will be taught.

tion registrations will take place
this Saturday morning (Oct. 27)
at the Exeter Arena. RCAF Cen-
tralia players will register at
CentraliA on Saturday, Nov. 3
At 9:30 a, n,
Registrations for Exeter's dis-
trict players ill the Exeter Arena
on Oct, 27 will rue from 9:00
a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Following is
the schedule: Squirt and pee
wee, 9.10:30 a.m,: bantam And
midget-juvenile, 10:30 a.m. to
12:00 p.m.. Players are requested.
to try to register in the stated
times to cause less confusion.
However, if a player cannot
make it on Saturday, he may
register any time throughout
next week at the Exeter Recrea-
tion Office (in the basement of
the Exeter Public Library),
Registration Fees Set
The following registration fees
have been set by the Minor
Hockey Association: -Under pee
svee age, $3.00 per player; pee
wee, bantam, midget and juve-
nile ages, $5.00 per player, If
a family has two or more boys
In it, m aximum registration
fees will not exceed $10,00.
The '62-'63 hockey program
will entail approximately 20
weeks of activity which includes
playoffs.
The registration fee will help
to cover ice time costs for all
house league games as well as
all-star league play in the West-
ern Onta-io Athletic Associa-
tion.
Curling in Arena
The Exeter ,Arena Board has
set aside Tuesdays this winter
for any adult or student curling
enthusiasts to participate in the
game, Providing there is enough
enthusiasm for the game, curl-
ing will run from 1:00 p,m. to
10:00 p,m, ever y Tuesday
throughout the winter,
Any adults or students who
wish to .participate in 'the game
is asked to leave his or her
name at the arena or with
yours truly as soon as possible,
Physical Fitness
Registrations are cooling in
for physical fitness classes at
a steady rate. However, .there
seem to he a slight misunder-
standing as to when or what
side markers to go into the end
zone standing up.
Costly fumble
The locals failed to take ad-
vantage of their one good scor-
ing opportunity. after Gerald
Merner had recovered a fumble
on the St. Marys three-yard
line.

in Hensall PS track meet
GIRLS' BASEBALL TOSS SH JUNIORS SPLIT
St. Mai-ys high school made
their return to inter-school foot-
ball competition a winning one,
Thursday, handing a mixed
team of SI.11)11S juniors and
seniors a 13-0 exhibition set-
back in the stone town.
The winner's squad was pick-
ed from their four-tea m. intra•
mural loop, while the local rep-
resentatives were made up from
the first string junior squad
and mainly the second string
senior entry,
The teams battled on even
grounds throughout most of the
contest with Len Pearson, the
Huron-Perth dash champion,
coming up with two long bursts
to provide the margin of vic-
tory for the hosts,
St, :Marys took a 1.0 lead on
the final play of the first quar-
ter when Ross Marshall lifted
a long punt into the SHDHS end
zone and Pearson raced down
the field to rouge the receivers
for the ingle,
The speedy barkfielder upped
the count to 7.0 late in the third
quarter when he slanted off
tackle at mid-field and cut
through several defenders and
then outdistanced them along
the sidelines for his first major.
