Baskets of white gladioli in
Carmel Presbyterian Church,
Hensall, formed the setting for
the marriage of Donna Darlene
Heywood, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Laverne Heywood, Exeter,
and Murray Neil Bell, son of
Mrs. Bell and the late Roy Bell,
Reese11, on Saturday, October
6 at 2 p.m.
Rev. Ross MacDonald per-
formed the ceremony and Mrs.
Malcolm Dougall played the
wedding music and accompa-
nied the soloist, Robert Lam-
mie, Centralia,
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a floor-
length gown of white Chantilly
lace over slipper satin trimmed
with white chiffon rosettes. The
bodice was embroidered with
seed pearls and iridescent se-
quins and was styled with por-
trait neckline and lily point
sleeves, A crown of seed pearls
and iridescent sequins held her
French illusion veil with Chan-
tilly lace border, She wore a
string of pearls and matching
earrings, the gift of the groom,
and carried red roses with
stephanotis and trailing ivy,
Mrs. Gerald Reid, Hensall,
was matron of honor and Miss
Barbara Clausius, Zurich, and
Miss Shirley Heywood, sister of
the bride, were bridesmaids.
They were gowned alike in
aqua street-length dresses of
peau de sole with white net
and maribou headdresses, They
carried white miniature .carna-
tions. Brother and sister of the

Ding CWT, of 13CA.F Station
Centralia held last •Tnesday in
the Community Centre. Mrs.

vener, presented some inter-
esting points on "Homework
for Students" in which she
maintained that too many
classrooms were interested only
in the sehoiastie achievements
of the students,
She said "Too many parents
refuse to accept graeimisly that
achild has limitations and try
to ,protect him from the disep-
pomtment of failure when, in
reality, he may be 'doing the
work successfully within his
own :limitations.
Mrs. Verna Burke, spiritual
convener, spoke on forgiveness
in which she said "lie who re-
fuses to forgive others breaks
down the bridge over which. he
himself must pass for every
one has need to be forgiven,"
During October the League
will hold its annual drive for
useful. articles needed at Mer-
cy Shelter. All members will be
asked to contribute,

Guild at Bethel
marks decade
Members of the Women's
Guild, Bethel Ref or med
Church, together with several
guests, met in the church base-
ment Thursday night to ob-
serve the tenth anniversary of
their group.
A fine program was given,
consisting of music, readings
and dialogues. Guests were
nresent from London and from
Exeter, Lunch was served,
The Guild presented the
church with two new hymn
boards as a token of thanks-
giving for blessings received.

At the meeting of Trillitt
Memorial Guild held in the
Parish Hall Thursday evening
committees were named for
the various booths at the
bazaar on November 27 and
28, Donations were received
for the fish pond.
Charades were conducted by
Mrs. T. Vickerinan, the hes-
teas. She also led in the de-
votional period with a thanks-
giving theme,

suit, red and white accessories
and corsage of red roses.

at UC luncheon
The meeting of Main St,
UCW took the form of a noon
luncheon at the church on
Thursday with nearly 100 in
attendance.
Guest speaker for the meet-
ing which followed was Rev.
Edgar Roulston, who spoke on
"Living the Thanksgiving Life"
Mrs. A, Swcitzer led the
devotional period assisted by
Mrs. R. S. Hiltz, Mrs. S. G.
Klatt, Creditor, was soloist ac-
companied by her mother, Mrs,
Frank Wildfong,
Mrs. R. F., Russell presided
for the business when final z.

choir gowns are to be ready for
the church anniversary on Oc-
