Brucefield area, died on Thurs.
day, Oct. 11 at Wayne County
Hospital, Detroit, Mich„ in his
75th year. He was unmarried,
Survivors are one brother,

Kippen; Mrs. George Baird,
Mrs. Clara Dutot, Brucefield,
and Mrs, Ella Cowan, Clinton.
Kinettes plan events
At the meeting of Hensall
Kinettes held at the home of
Mrs, Ross links last Wednes-
day Mrs, Bob Caldwell was pre-
sented with her Kinette pin and
welcomed into the club,
Plans were finalized for the
visits to the shut-ins on Sunday,
November 4. The March of
Dimes committee was formed
for 1963, Service convenor Mrs.
Bob Baker read two letters
which she received from the
club's adopted child in Italy.
The annual house - to - house
canvass with tickets for the
Kinette's Christaas cake draw
will be held Wednesday, Nov.

and vice-president Mrs. Irvine

club were guests for the eve-
ning.
Mrs. John Dietz, convener of
the ways and means committee,
reported a successful rummage
sale in the Legion Hall. Used
clothing not sold was donated
to the Salvation Army.

At the CGIT meeting of Car-
mel Church last Wednesday
evening a fashion show was
held with, each girl modelling
her costume a n d Barbara
Schwalm as commehtator,
Mrs, Ross MacDonald model-
led her nurses' uniform and ex-
plained how to assemble it.
Linda„Lenehan and. Suzanne
Kyle paired off as beach beat-
niks with flapping straw hats
and dark glasses. Patsy Moir
wore her pretty pink summer
dress with a pink bow to set it
off, Ruth Striate for her cos-
tume chose a brown plaid win-
ter dress, ,and Ann Lawrence
was ready for summer in white
shorts, top and sun hat,
Marcia Little had on a white
blouse with pyjama bottoms.
Patsy Schwalm displayed her
eapri pyjamas trimmed, with
embroidered flowers and Dianne
Koehler surprised everyone by
modelling her own CGIT uni-
form. Cheryl Little dressed to
her version of a prosperous
artist with baggy red and white
polka dot pants, a grey beach
jacket decorated with, a tie and
umpire style cap, Rosemarie
Neilands came in a knit sports
sweater and green ski slacks:
Barbara Schwalm received
second prize for a blue and
mauve evening dress a n d
Heather Reid won first prize
for a 1920 style bathing suit
with a let-down skirt and an
extra top underneath.
The girls were paired off with
two sheets of newspaper, four
pins and five minutes to make
a costume. From the skimpy
results designer Suzanne Kyle
and model Linda Lenahan re-
ceived first, and designer Di-
anne Koehler and model Ruth
Smale received second.

and Deborah of Ailsa Craig,
Miss Barbara Woodburn, Park-
hill, were recent visitors with

Mr, Roo Mock of Hurondale
Dairy addressed the members
of Hensall. Women's Institute at
their meeting held in the Le-
gion Hall Wednesday evening,
Oct. 10 speaking on "Pasteur-
ization of Milk",
He spoke of the vast changes
in the processing of milk over
the past 20 years and the high
standards required today and
stressed the necessity of milk in
the daily diet. He said the farm-
ers must handle their milk ac-
cording to government stand-
ards, all pasteurization plants
are periodically government in-
spected and every dairy has a
licensed grader. The speaker
was introduced by Mrs. N. E,
Cook.
Members answered the roll
by naming a spice and its ori-
gin, Interesting reports were
submitted by Mrs, R, M, Peck
and Mil. Wilbert Dilling on the
WI rally held at Bluevale re-
cently, Mrs. N. E. Cook and
Mrs. Peck were appointed a
committee to purchase Christ-
mas gifts for the group's adopt-
ed child in Austria.
Mrs. Carl. Payne was appoint-
ed a delegate to the London
area convention November 5
and. 6, The Leaders' Training
School on, "143 lbs. of meat"
will be held in Hensall Legion
Hall October 16 and 17. An in-
vitation was accepted to Huron-
dale WI meeting in the Legion
Hall, Exeter, Tuesday, October

Mrs. W. J. Cameron, Hensall,

their fall activities on Sunday

which is situated on Brock
street, to Lorne Hay of Hen-
salt. The home was occupied by

their family for many years
and the Cudmore family used
to vacation here for the summer
