Ambrose Evelyn Broderick.
a resident of Exeter for the
past 30 years, died in London
Hospital Wednesday, October
3.
Mr. Broderick was born in
Stephen Township and follow
ing his marriage he farmed in
Hay Township until retiring to
Exeter. He would have been
93 years of age on the day of
his burial.
Surviving are his wife, three
sons; Arthur, Raymond and
Harphl, all of Exeter; three
daughters, Mrs. William
(Pearl) Abbott, St. Anne; Mrs.
Orville (Lily) Smith, Hensall,
and. Mrs. Truman (Ethel) Mac-
Pherson, St. Thomas; two bro-
ther's, Edgar Broderick, Ex-
eter; and. John Broderick, Re-
gina; several grandchildren
and great-grandchildren.
A private funeral service will
be held from the R. C. Dinney
funeral home, Friday, October
5 at 2:30 p.m., conducted by
Rev., S. E. Lewis with inter-
ment in Exeter cemetery.

CGIT elects officers
The Elimville CGIT was held
on Sunday evening with eight
girls present and one new
member. Miss Margaret Johns,
president, opened the meeting,
Officers were all re-elected
for another year. President is
Margaret Johns; vice-presi-
dent, Anne Johns; secretary,
Janet Skinner: treasurer, Jo-
anne Miners; pianist, Marilyn
Johns,
The leaders are Mrs, Ross
Skinner, Mrs. Vernon Mont-
morency and Mrs, .Jack Herm
Miss ,Tanet Skinner led in a
singsong and Miss Joanne
Miners gave a reading. Miss
Anne Johns was in charge of
