ties) announce that arrange-
ments have been completed for
a public meeting to be held in
the Canadian Legion Hall, Town
of Clinton, October 3 beginning
with dinner at 6.45.
The purpose of the meeting
is to acquaint municipal repre-
sentatives and the general pub-
lic with the work of the Mid-
Western Ontario Development
Association, what it is doing,
and its aims and objectives.
Speakers for the meeting will
be G. N. Scroggic, a repre-
sentative of the federal depart-
ment of public works and Nor-
man Pearson, a well known
petsonality in the field of com-
munity planning.
In addition, there will be a
display of literature published
by the association and an out-
line of the .facilities available
to member municipalities to as-
sist them in their endeavors to
improve their economic situa-

minor damage and was soon

called to mind the disastrous
fire of August 8, .1055 which
destroyed the 'previous building,
