The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a full length
gown of white • -lanza over
silk taffeta style., with bouf-
fant "skirt with tort tram
blended to a torso bodice with
bracelet sleeves and bateau
neckline edged in seed pearls.
The waistline was outlined with
self leaves and pearls. A queen's
tiara held her elbow-length veil.
She carried a cascade of pink
Delight roses, stephanotis and
ivy.
Mrs. James Becker, Dash-
wood as matron of honor and
Miss Brenda Becker and Miss
Carolyn Kraft, Toronto, as
bridesmaids were gowned alike
in street-length parisienne rose
peau de soie dresses with
matching rosette headdresses.
They carried crescents of baby
'White carnations and rose rib-
bon.
Flower girl, Leanne Pepper.
London, wore snow white or-
gandy over taffeta and minia-•
ture headdress like the other
attendants., She carred a nose-
gay of white carnations with
rose lace and streamers. Philip
Kirk, Aneaster, was ring bear-
er in a charcoal suit.
Alvin Campbell, Hensall, was
best man and Robert Kirk, Exe-
ter and Stewart Kraft. London,
Ushered guests.
A reception was held in the
church rooms where the bride's
mother received guests in a
cocktail dress of candlelight
brocade with mink trim and
corsage of bronze mums and
tawny gold roses. The groom's
mother chose a two-piece en-
semble In grey with corsage of
red carnations and white roses.

don, are parents of the groom.
Escorted to the altar by her
fattier the bride chose a colo-
nial wedding gown of candle-
light silk faille. The rounded
neckline was trimmed in self
material of laurel leaf design
encrusted with pearls. Identical
Iron was repeated at the waist
and unpressed. pleats formed a
hustle back flowing to a chapel,
train. Lily point sleeves were
features of the fitted bodice,

queen's crown of crystals and
pearls. She carried a white

rosebuds and she wore her
grandmother's (the late Mrs.
William Charters) engagement
ring of 60 years ago.
The bridesmaids, Mrs, John
A. McGregor and Mi's, Douglas
E. McGregor, .twin sisters of
the bride, wore sapphire blue
peso de soie in sheath design
with overskirts. They had white
feather headdresses and car
vied white lace baskets ar-
ranged with white pompom
mums and deep pink rosebuds.
Miss Janice 11-liddleton, London,
as junior bridesmaid was also
dressed in blue wth white em-
broidery and white ribbon
headdress. Little Nancy Mid.
dleton was flower girl in white
mother in turquoise with pink
rose corsage.
For travelling in the Western
Provinces and the United States
the bride changed to a coffee
brown three-piece double knit
ensemble with corsage of yel-
low mums.
The couple will reside at RR,
2 Zurich.

Huron Park WA
plans bowling
At the first meeting of the
season of the Women's Auxil-
iary of RCAF Station Centralia
held in Huron Park Commun-
ity Centre Tuesday, September
4, the Women's Bowling
Leagues were organized,
Thirteen teams were regis-
tered and as a result of an
open discussion on bowling
rules some 'c h a n g e s were
made:
1, Two frames shall be bowl-
ed at one lime instead of one.
2. Left-hand bowlers are to
advise opposing captain which
counting pin they will use for
scoring.
3. Any player who does not
bowl the last four weeks prior
to the end of the bowling
season is not eligible for prizes
or trophies,
The ladies were urged to
continue saving all Canada
Packer labels to procure a
serving trolley for which 2,000
labels are required. The coffee
urn, which was obtained in this
way last season, has been in-
valuable for the largely at-
tended meetings.
President Mrs. Betty Col-
borne was in the chair and
extended a welcome to the
honorary president:, Mrs. Bar-
bara Randall, and all the
members in attendance.
After the meeting eight
games of bingo were played
with the winners: Mrs, Cut-
ting, Mrs Johnston, Mrs. J.
.MacDonnell., Mrs. Brown, Mrs.
Christman, Mrs. Abbors, Mrs.
Wiper and Mrs. R. P, Kreltzer.
Sane of the prizes were donat-
ed by S. B, Taylor, Jeweller;
E. L. Chaffe & Sons and the
EYel or Times-Advocate.
Mrs. Jean Moore and her as-
sistants served lunch,
