Tall standards of white gladi-
oli and ferns decorated the
church for the ceremony per-
formed by Rev. Dr,. George W.
Goth, London. who officiated at
the marriage of the bride's
parents, and Rev. S. E. Lewis,
minister of the church.
Given in marriage by her fa-
ther, the bride chose a tradi-
tional full-length gown of pure
while silk peau de faille in
sheath style completely ever-
laid. with corded lace. A full
detachable overskirt of peau de
faille swept out to the sides and
back in a chapel train. The
fitted bodice was styled with a
scoop neckline and s h o r t
sleeves, the corded lace form-
ing a. scalloped edge at neck-
line, sleeves and hemline. Two
roses at the back accented the
gt. Andrew's mled Church.
Kippen, was the setting for the
wedding of El', a Marie jar-
rode daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Eldon Jarrott. Kippen. and
Donavort Ross Beunzlow, sort of

green lace cocktail-length
gowns styled similar to the
bride's with scalloped lace
edging the bell-shaped skirls,
matching lace jackets and lace
pillbox hats. Thy carried arm
bouquets of white snapdragons
and green ivy accented with
white and yellow baby carna-
tions,
The flower girl, Rebecca
Fuicher, Exeter, wore a white
silk organza frock with bouf-
fant skirt and short puffed
sleeves. A self sash was tied
with wide hack bow. She car-
ried a nosegay of baby yellow
and white carnations. -
Richard Howitt, Toronto, wag
best man for his brother, and
ushering guests were John
MacNeughton, brother of the
bride, Gregory Baker. Peter
eller, Exeter, and junior brides-
maid. Miss Brenda Brunzlow,
Strathroy, sister of the groom,

and pink carnations and blue

guests, including Hon John
Roberts, premier of Ontario,
and Airs. Roberts and other
members of provincial govern-
ment and their wives, was held
at the bride's home. The
bride's table was set in a
marquee on the spacious
grounds with white and yellow
floral decorations. Arrange-
ments of pink and white snap-
dragons, carnations and daisies
decorated the home.
Airs, MacNaughton. received
guests in a gown of re-
embroidered alencon lace and
silk chiffon and the groom's
mother chose a dress of im-
ported silk in champagne
shade with gold thread em-
broidery, The bride's grand-
mother, Mrs. Samuel Fulcher,
Brandon, Man., in dusty rose
lace over taffeta and the
groom's grandmother, Mrs.
Margaret Miller, Windsor, in
cloud blue chiffon over taffeta
were present for the occasion.
For travelling, the bride
changed to a . navy blue silk
shantung jacket dress with.
navy and white accessories
and corsage of pink sweet-
heart roses,
The couple will reside in
Windsor..The. bride is a gradu-
ate of Huron. College, 'Univers-

the groom is a graduate of

A lovely summer wedding
was solemnized in the Landes-
horo United Church on Satur-
day, June 23, at 2 o'clock when
the Rev, H. A. Funge united
in marriage Gloria Anne, elder
daughter of Mr. and Mrs,
Thomas B. Allen, Londesboro,
and granddaughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Torn Allen, .Exeter, and
Wayne Keith, elder son of Dr.
Kenneth Jackson, Blyth, and
the late Mrs. Ethel JaCkson,
Mrs. Harry Lear, Blyth, was
organist, playing traditional
wedding music and accompanied
the soloist, Mrs. Harry Lear,
as she sang "FR Walk Beside
You," "The Lord's Prayer"
and 4 '0 Promise Ale".
The bride, given in marriage

he marries" was discussed by
Mes, Warren Brock, She said
that, in no other business, does
a wife mean so much to her
husband as in farming — real
team work is needed for a
farmer and his wife. Airs, C. Coates favored
with a solo appropriate to Can-
ada's birthday. She was accom-
panied by Mrs. Andrew Dougall.
Airs, William Rowcliffe gave a
reading, The program was at'-
ranged by the agriculture and
Canadian. industries committee
with Mrs. Riney Keller as con-
vener,
Airs. William Dougall reported
that the branches' adopted child
was an eight-year-old girl in
Korea, Airs. Hugh Love was
named to work with Mrs. Dou-
gall in buying a birthday and
Christmas gift for her,
Plans were finalized for the
chicken barbecue to be held
July 10 at the Fair grounds, it
was voted to have a booth at
Exeter Fair with Mrs. William
Rowcliffe, Airs. john :Pym and
Mrs, Lorne Passmore to be a
committee to make arrange-
ments,
Mrs, William Sitlery reported
that plans for the placing of a
memorial plaque at Thames
Road Church for Hon. James
Gardiner on September 9 were
progressing.
Mrs. Riney Keller, Mrs. W,
Brock, Airs, Hugh Love and
Mrs, James Earl were named
a committee to serve and pre-
pare food for the CMS picnic
in. Riverview Park, Exeter, on
Wednesday, July 25.
It was voted to give a prize
of $2.50 to 4-H exhibit at Exeter
Fair and also the same amount
for special prize in the over 70
section.
There will be no meeting in
July and a family picnic will
be held at the August meeting
in Riverview Park, with Mr. anti
Airs, Harry Strang and Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Jeffery as sports
committee and Mrs. Gerald Mc-
Falls, Mrs. Cecil Rowe, Mrs.

Seaway and points east, the
bride changed to a two-piece
ensemble of beige linen with
green flower hat and brown
accessories, She wore a cor-
sage of tawny gold roses.
On their return, Mr. and
Mrs, Jackson will reside in
Ridgetmvn, where the groom is
