in Exeter. We feel this is an
extremely important factor for
a properly operated .program as
it will give everyone an idea
of what is actually running 12
moths of the year.
By using this pamphlet,
eryone interested in .r partle-
ular type of recreation will be
able to see when it is run, how
much it Nvill cost, wit° is spon-
soring it, etc. As well, a per-
son will know whom to contact
if they want to join the activ-
ity.

total of 134 points, compared to
the 119 collected by Dashwood
students,
The small Shipka school
placed a strong third with 09
points, followed by Khiva, 37;
Greenway, 15; Blaekbush, 10;
and. Sharon, 7,
Four of the seven individual
champions declared at, the meet-
ing were from Creditor] school.
Roberta Sharpe and. Cynthia
Pfaff tied for senior girls' title;
Bonnie Simms led in the inter-
mediate girls and john Fahner
was tops in junior boys.
Eugene Guenther and Jim
linter, both of. Dashwood, won
the senior and intermediate
championship for the boys,
Sandra Sweitzer, Shipka, was
the junior girls' champion.
Dashwood won both the senior
and junior ball tournaments.
Runner-up in each division was
the Shipka-C,reenway combina-
tion team.
The meet was held Monday
afternoon in Dashwood, with
the Dashwood principal, Donald
Finkbeiner, in charge.

IL has been quite some time

are many reasons Or this but
the main them.e behind it all
is the fact that things have
been moving too quickly to keep
them in print.
However, lo bring us up. to
date, we certainly want to start

the use of his facilities for our
minor hockey banquet a couple
of weeks Ago. The 200 or so
kids who took in the affair
seemed to enjoy themselves
.even though the threatre was
used for the first time as a
headquarters for the minor ban-
quet,

Junior golf club
The Exeter Junior Golf Club,
although quiet over the past
couple of weeks because of high
school examinations, continues
to meet for the annual Thurs-
day evening out at the .Exeter
Golf Course. Many of the young.
steps are taking the game quite
seriously and could be heard
from in the not too distant fut.-
tire.
,lack Smith, local jeweller,
has donated a beautiful champ-
ionship trophy for the junior en•
thusiast s.
Ray Mills, Canada Life rep-
resentative, and Allan Westeott,
owner of the Exeter Golf
course have donated a junior
boys and junior girls trophy re-
spectively. These fine Pieces of
silverware will be tin for com-
petition each year with the win-
ners receiving a replica trophy
for their achievements.

Public school softball and
hardball teams are in the final
lap of their respective sched-
ules for deelaring league chain-
pionships.
Since the four different
leagues were set up in May, a
grand total of 67 hall games
have taken place over the
weeks at the' local diamonds.
This is run as an extra activity
after school, let out,. Monday to
Friday.
On the whole the various
leagues have proved successful
and are -continuing with the.
various ,clubs in league .finals.
One particular note of mention
