Decoration Day services were
held Sunday afternoon under the
auspices of the Canadian. Le-
gion Branch 468 in conjunction
with the 100F Lodge 223,
Rev. Ross MacDonald, BA,
minister of Carmel Presbyterian
Church gave the Decoration
Day address speaking on "Our
Debt To Life." "I am debtor,"
quoted the speaker. "Whether
we realize it or not, we are all
debtors, For one thing, we are
infinitely indebted to those who
have lived on this earth before
us. We think of the unknown
warriors of the Christian Church
who, in their day, kept the light
of faith burning. We think of
those in two world wars who,.
at the call of duty, laid down
their lives for the dream of a
world at peace. How indebted
we are to those heroes of the
past. We owe a debt to those
who have gone before; we owe
a debt to those who are. with
us; and above all we owe a
debt to the crucified Christ,"
the speaker said.
