Three Clinton airmen wore
acquitted' of charges of break-
ing into a Lake Huron cottage
with intent to commit an indict-
able offence but they were
frond guilty of drinking beer
under age by Magistrate Glenn
Hays, QC, here Tuesday,
Kenneth 1. McKinnon, 19, a
second offender, paid a $40
fine, Victor Peloquin, 19, and
Raymond Barker, 18. each paid
525 and costs.
They were charged with en-
tering the cottage of Victor
t'oholards at Sunset beach, Col-
borne township.
On the night of June ninth
the three men admitted lifting
the screen latch and entering
the cottage. "To get nut of the
rain," they claimed.
A friend of Cobolards found
the men in the cottage and
questioned their presence there.
They told him that they had
received permission from a per-
son named "Gerry" whom they
had met on the beach several
weeks earlier.
The friend of Coholards re-
turned to Goderich to investi-
gate the claim of the three
men. Finding that their entry
was highly suspicious, he re-
turned to the cottage and, find-
ing that, the three had de-
parted, he nailed the door shut.
Later that evening the owner
rottu-ned to the cottage with
Constable Hardy of the OPP,
noderieh -detachment. to find.
that the three had once again
forced the door and were sleep-
ing iir the `COttggt"..
Upon investigation it was es-
tablished that nothing had, been
