1 2 lh mixed candied fruit
1 2 lb almonds

1 lb currants
3 cups flour
I lb bullet.
1 1 2 ova brown
1 I '2 cups white
eggs
1 tp s amlia
juice and grated rind of
one lemon
1 1 tp nutince
ip cinnamon
1 ip mace
1 tp soda
tp cream of Carta
Prepare fruit cutting finely
dates, peel. fruit. almond.: and
walnuts Dredge with 1 cup of
flour given in recipe.
Cream butter and sugar. Add
beaten eggs. sanilla and juice
and rind of lemon.
Sift balance of flour wit it
spices. soda and cream of tar-
tar and add half of flour mia-
lure to firat mixture. Add pre-
pared fruit and then add re-
mainder of flour mixture.
Baked in oiled and lined tins
for 3 hours in 230- to 273 otmn.
This amount makes a three-
tiered cake,
