Paced by the stellar net play
of Callum McPhee, the ban-
tams started out on the right
foot in the Georgetown affair
with a hard-fought 2.0 win over
Walkerton and came right back
to oust the northern crew with
a 5-3 win in the second match,
It was the second time this
year the Walkerton crew have
been shoved to the sidelines by
the locals, as they met in the
WOAA "B" championship.

"the teams battled to a score-

never relinquished,

They protected the lead with
Callum McPhee comingup with

SQUIRTS OUSTED Captain Jim Parker and Denton •
Wiser will be able to lake off their "long-johns" for
the rest of the year now after .tbe Exeter squirts were
ousted in the Brampton tournament on Monday. The
pair were among the 'four who were members of last
year's "D" champions, but after ousting Elora on Sat-
urday in two games, they were pushed to the sidelines
by a big, fast squad from Winona. However, the locals
put up a valiant effort before they wilted under a third
period spree in the final period of the second game.
