"ATTIC
ANTICS"
Have you checked your attic
lately? If you have an imagin-
ation, a lot of your old throw-
aways can become a point of
interest in your home.
Old picture frames make
very smart mirror frames, An-
tique or paint the frame to
suit the room you intend to use
it in. Replace the old picture
with a piece of mirror and it
is ready to hang in hall or bed-
room.

Ideas
Old frames also make unique
nick-nack shelves, Using thin
boards or plywood build a four-
inch-deep box on the back of
or the frame. Put in a couple of
glass shelves then paint to
'1+ match your room and a smart
effect is obtained.
Another idea for your old
frame is to remove glass and
picture, then nail small shelf
on the top edge of the bottom
part of frame, hanging out
about three inches. After, paint•
ing or gilting, hang on wall and
piece potted plant or vase of
artificial flowers on shelf. The
result is satisfying.
If you have an old bird cage
in the corner of your attic.
hatil it out and dust it off. A
freS11 coat of paint wilt give it
a new look, Now with a bright
cold, ribbon or chain, suspend
friain ceiling in the Other of
your room or' in front of a
Window, New instead of a bird,
place a potted plant or artific,
ial ivy in the cage. This
expensive idea adds dolor to
your' room.
Most, antics with a few
changes and A fresh eclat of
paint can be brought back to
life in your Ironic.
