Playoffs have started through-
out the various Exeter Minor
House Leagues, The teams are
presently engaged i n a two
game series with goals to
count.
In pee wee action, two of
.the three Saturday morning
games ended in a tie while .the
league leading Mohawks grab-bed a two goal lead over the
hawks with p victory. In
the Mohawk victory, the two
.clubs were lied right -up until
.the last. period when the Mo-
hawks finally broke loose,
Peter Lawson was once again
the big gun for the Tribe as he
scored three of the four goals.
Barry Baynham chipped in
with the other and also assisted
on Lawson's second goal of the
game.
The Maple Leafs and Red
Wings battled to a 3-3 draw in
what could be classed as the
roughest game of the morning,
In all six penalties were called
with three going to each side,
Glen Stires fired all three
goals for the Leafs, Graham
Nero and Howard had one as-
sist each,
David Burke, Ricky Weber
and John Loader shared the
Red wing markers while Bruce
Fiddler picked up an assist on
Weber's goal.
Canadiens and .Rangers ex-
changed a pair of goals in the
"C" series as- the. two clubs
battled to a 2-2 tie.
Allan Diller dented the twine
twice for the Canadiens, Mike
Cooper assisted on Diller's
first counter,
Larry Haugh and McLaren
tallied for the Rangers.
Bantam division
Phantoms edged the Hawks
5.4 and the Wings whipped the
Damns 6-3 as the Bantam di-
vision moved into their first
round of a best-of-two series
with total goals to count.
