trate learned that Desjardine
faced a charge of unlawful

mated he would not have been
so lenient in his penalty on the

Constable Hodgins told the
court he had found one full
ease of 24 pints of beer and a
part case of 12 in the trunk
of the car and Desjardine had

gave the summer resort some
bad publicity last summer
when he commented on the

prevalent throughout the Lake
Huron area.

Hodgins said the youth had
been drinking and he -told him
to go home and let his girl -
friend drive, However, Dick
got out and crawled behind the
wheel of his own car.
The police officer walked.
over and took the keys out of
the car and Dick got out and
started arguing and fighting
as well as cursing at Hodgins.
"He was mad because 1 took
the keys out of his ear", Hod.
gins said,
"The officer was doing -you
a favor", the magistrate told
Dick. "If you had had yotu.
