Kinsman, a medley of piano
selections and Mrs. R. Gem-
mell led a health quiz. The
group accepted an invitation
to Crediton WI on Mar. 21 and.
will hold a social evening in

by members for the War Me-
morial Children's tio snit, a

Donations were approved for
the Adelaide Heedless Home,
towards esteblishment of WI
groups in the Northwest Terri-

long resident of the Blyth area,
who is at, present visiting with
his daughter and son-in-law,

and family, observed his 88th

grandson, Keith Harburn, eight
on Friday, also observed his
birthday with him. Members of
his family celebrated the event
with them.
Mr, Walden has a family of
three daughters and one son,
19 grandchildren and 13 great-

About thirty p a r e n t s and

rich Brownies at their Think-
ing Day program Wednesday,
February 21 under the leader-
ship of Brown Owl Mrs. Allan
Gascho.

He spoke on the four aspects
of life saying "The business of
life is to be, to do, to do with-
out, and to deport".

Scant who read scripture pas--
sages and David Taylor who
gave the prayer. The choir
rendered an anthem under
leadership of Mrs. Malcolm
Dougall.

of her family on her 92nd
birthday Sunday, February 25
at the home of her son and
daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Orval Rapson of Hensall., with
whom she makes her home.
Airs, Rapson has two sons

seven grandchildren, and

She was horn in Muskoka,
She is able to be up and
around the house every day,

paper every day without the

Thirty-nine ladies from lien•
salt and community took a bus
trip to 'Kitchener Tuesday
night of this week and attended
the Ice Capadcs held in that
city. Mrs, Fred Beer organized
the trip.

At a brief meeting of Amber
Rebekah Lodge last Wednesday
evening presided over by Noble
Grand Mrs. R. A, Orr, plans
were laid for a euchre -Wednes-
day evening, March 7.
At the conclusion of the meet-
ing a euchre was held with nine
tables in play sponsored by the
CPT committee of the 100F
and Amber Rebekah Lodges.
Winners were: ladies, Mrs,

Make eight quilts
for UC missions
The ladies of the United
Church Women. held a quilting
in the c h u r c h last week
and completed eight quilts
which will be forwarded in the
bale to Toronto for overseas
relief, and to Dr. Whiting mis-
sion at Hazelton, B.C.
Twenty-five ladies assisted in
the project which was com-
