Lee Webber skipped his four-
some to three straight wins in
the opening draw to cop the
top honors, while Claude Far-
row's rink ended up with two
wins and a total of 24 points to
finish second.
Webber started off with. an
8.5 win over a St, Thomas en-
try in the first match and came
back to post a convincing 11.3
win over Doug Miles' Clinton
entry in the second outing.
He was pitted against an un-
defeated Brussels rink in the
third match and won five of
the eight ends to post. a 6-4
win.
Farrow's foursome was drub-
bed 12.7 in their opening match
by Miles' rink, but came back
with a 6-3 win over the SL
Thomas rink and a 10-6 vic-
tory over Exeter's John Go-
man in the third tilt,
The Farrow rink was actually
tied with their 24. points, but
won the nod over the Brussels
rink because of their bigger
aggregate.
The other two Exeter rinks
entered in the first draw won
only one of their three games.

In the second draw, a Lis-
towel rink skipped by Tom
Lee Learn, the first draw
winner in. the men's curling
league, wasted no time in hid-
cling for a playoff spot for the
third draw honors as he pick-
ed up 15 points in the first
week's play.
Learn scored a 15-0 white-
wash job over Clarence Down
to take the lead in the 'Thurs-
day night play as he won all
nine of the ends they played
against Down,
In second place is Lorne
Passmore, whose 11.5 win over
second draw finalist, Gord Mc-
Tavish, gave him 13 big points.
In the Tuesday competition,
Dick Roelofson continued his
fine play to take a slim one-
point lead: After going unde-
feated in the second draw,
Roelofson skipped his new rink
to a convincing 12-2 win over
Russ Snell.
