Association is comprised of the
Counties Huron, Perth, Wel-
lington and Waterloo,
Chairman Howard Aitken of
Goderich stressed the fact that
it is very important for each
member to create interest at
a local level and in turn at
zone level, This association and
its activities are advertised by

through-out the world.
Mrs. Noakes was appointed
secretary for 1962-63.

the speaker who was introduc-
ed by Mrs. Jack Drysdale and

Mrs. Edison Forrest led the
devotional "How to furnish
our new room which is our
new organization, with love,
faith, hope; gratitude, compas-
sion, wisdom, courtesy, cour-
age, integrity and cheerfulness.
She was assisted by Mrs,
Verne Alderdice and Mrs. Wes
Richardson.
Reports from the leaders of
the five units were given and
Miss Mary Goodwin presented
the treasurer's report.

World Day of Prayer at Car-
mel Presbyterian Church Fri-
day, March 9, at 3 p.m., was
accepted, A motion was passed
that the finance committee

deciding to donate to any out-
side organization,

Miss Dora Aliar
dies in hospital
Public funeral service for
Miss Dora Alair, a resident of
Hensall for many years was
held from the Bonthron Funer-
al Chapel on Monday, Febru-
ary 12 conducted by Rev, Ross
MacDonald who paid fitting
tribute to her life.
Burial was in Hensall Union
cemetery.
Miss Alair died Friday morn-
ing in Clinton Public Hospital
after an illness of two weeks.
She was born in Hay Town-
ship and was in her 80th year.
She was a member of Carmel
Presbyterian Church and the
Women's Missionary Society.
Surviving are, one sister,
Mrs, Adam Steep. Clinton; two
brothers, David, Smithville,
and Melvin Detroit,

Mrs. Frank Tuffin died Thurs-
day at the home of her daugh-
ter, Mrs. Russell Parsons in
Staffa.
She was in her 82nd year and.
had been seriously ill for one
month.
Mrs. Tuffin was born in Wal-
ton, November 6, 1880 and fol-
lowing her marriage to Mr.
'Puffin in 1911, came to live in
Staffa, where she resided ever
since,
Mrs. Tuffin was a member
of Staffa. United Church.
Surviving are two daughters,
Mrs. Russell (Sylvia) Parsons,
Staffa, and Mrs, John (Edith)
Aldington, Varna, two brothers,
Leslie Butson, Staffa, and Earl
Butson, Regina, six grandchil-
dren and two ereat-grandchil-
then. Her husband died in 1947,
The body rested at the Leslie
Funeral Home, Mitchell, where
Rev. A. H. Daynard conducted
the funeral service Monday al,

metery.

A new farm hand was told to
harness a mule early one win•
ter morning. In the dark he
tackled a cow instead of the
mule. in a few minutes the
farmer shouted from the house,
"Say, what is keeping you so
long?"
"I can't get the collar over
the mule's head," shouted the
farm hand. "His ears are
frozen stiff."
