Dick Jermyn and Ken Otte- well skipped their foursomes to three straight wins to keep the' major prizes in Exeter, while Si Simmons's rink lost only one game to place second in the first draw, Both winners had close calls in their championship quest, as Ottewell had to overcome big leads in two of his three games, while Jermyn was tied up on two occasions on the last end.
